Quickest way to...

get Velicodrome claws? i've done the velicodrome quest loads of times and haven't got a single one

1)kill it
2)carve it
3)guard till reward screen shows
3.5)50% chance of gettin rarer items in rewards
4)run around in circles in joy cuz u got a claw

There's a mission in the Guild that has you take out 3 Velocidrome. They're about as hard as the Village Velocidrome, but with three of them, you have more chances to get Drome Claws.

Word of advice: I'd complete the Village Elder quests before doing more than a few quests in the Guild, as it gives you a better idea of how the monsters like to fight. Also, you'll be able to get better items in town by completing the Elder Quests, a lot of which will help with the Guild quests.

There's an easier way to get the Med Monster Bones. Go to the Guild and take on a Desert Gathering quest. Head out to through the hole in the wall (don't go under the big arch on the edge of the cliff; that leads to the actual desert, and you lose health as you stay out there unless you have Cool Drinks). You should see some big creatures; they're brown, have a large shell, and a spiky tail. Kill these things and you can carve Med Monster Bones off them. However, they're more aggressive than the creatures you've been getting Raw Meat off of in the Forest and Hills, so you may take some damage. They're also tougher; when they fall down, continue to hit them, or they'll get up and come after you.

Hey, I sent you a PM that will help you out. I mention a quest that you need to unlock now; the quest will also give you some great Dual Blades for the Village quests. Their attack is decent, but they're sharp as hell, and will carry you through the Village quests pretty well. They'll need to be replaced once you start in on the Guild quests, but after completing the Village quests (except maybe Wyverns of Land and Sky), you'll be able to make the Guild Knight Sabers. The Guild Knight Sabers aren't as sharp as the Wolf Tessen (the Dual Blades made from Garuga parts), but they have higher attack, and they have a Water attribute, so you're doing that much more damage. Most of the monsters you'll take on have some weakness to Water element, and with the better attack and element, you can deal more damage than with the Guild Knight Sabers. In fact, my default weapon is the Guild Knight Sabers, despite the fact that my Insector+ has better raw attack.
