Ancient Stones - Page 9

Thanks man you are the only whos been online in the forums when i log on,you have also been answering all my questions i appreciate that,every time i polish rustsones i get bad basic weapons like iron sword and other bad weapons none have been actual ancient weapons,is there any way of improving your chances of getting a decent weapon out of them?

just a reminder though, ruststones wont give ancient weapons.. ok?? again....

rust stone = rusted weapon
ancient stone = worn weapon

just do what Twin explained here and I assure you, you'll have a rusted / worn weapon in no time.. just be patient.. ok?

another tip for you, do the "panning for goldfish" quest in the guild hall... the middle cave on the map there's a mining point there.. i got most of my rust stones there..

rusted sword = eternal strife
rusted hammer = i haven't polished it yet.. hehehe...too lazy...but i have the rusted hammer already...
rusted great sword = ancient blade/sword
rusted lance = matenro
bowgun = demonlock

it takes time to get used to the trick..

Thanks avj and twin fatality for helping a noob like me im only hunter rank two,i am blessed with relatively good patience(dont mind my name in this forum,all the good names were taken thats why i used angry hunter lol)so i dont mind waiting for the good stuff after all the old saying goes:good things come to those who wait:i got three rustones so i can probably get decent weapons out of it im not picky i just hate having something innthe box that isnt of help to me,lol i just hope the integer isnt 78 or something like that ha ha ha.

Ok ive got another small question on this topic you said that the combining items quest is easiest,would the trick work if i polish,no good weapons,reload,then just do one of them gathering quests in the guild where you can deliver the paw pass ticket and pass the quest in three seconds?Also what should i do (i have about five rustones)if im polishing all the rustones and then after 2-3 being bad i get a good one if i save i lose the 2-3 bad rustones,should i do them singley?

just try to lower the integer...
if you're trying to save more rust stone...
anyhow get the rusted weapon that you think you need the most and just mine more rust later...
i usually stack up only 10 rustones and i do the trick from here.. plus the fact that rust stones consume space in your itembox.. thats why i dont stack too many..

Ok ill do that ill get a few more rustones and whatever goes to waste ill sell thanks again,i dont want to get too many as it will fill my bow like you said avj so ill get 10 and work from there,with some luck ill get a dragon element weapon hopefully a sword.

still got no rusted weapon? i believe you've been doin the trick..so just be patient with it.. you'll get one eventually...


and if you happen to be doin or wanting a worn weapon from your ancient stone, try polishing first your ancients then rust stones.. see what happens.. if you get a rusted weapon, reset and remember the nth time you got your rusted weapon so you can polish your ancient in the preceeding step..

i dunno if i got his info here or from other forums...
also change the order of polishing, if you've been doin hammers, lances, sns, gs.. try another pattern...

Good luck with that mate,i need to advance a rank to keep up with the competition.I got a demonlock from the rustones,i kept it because it can fire all levels of clust and crag.thanks again for the advice avj and twin.
