no she's alot easy...rathalos is a lot stronger than rathian

Yeah, that set is fine. You can kill it with anything really, just avoid the talon swoop attack. Getting knocked out, poisoned, and losing alot of health is not good MHF2 R S, please do not triple post. You are also in the wrong forum, check out the MHF2 forum

Yeah, that should kill it quite easily. It is upto you what to take, flashes are lame but they get you free head hits, or you can use the time to get the tail off Traps are good to break the wings and head. Just show it respect, but do not fear it. That is my philosophy with all monsters

Well, I'm not to pro at killing Rathian since it's stronger out of the two, but I am pro at slaying Rathalos. What you want to do is get some armour that protects decent since you haven't yet mastered slaying him. Then you should get a greatsword. Greatsword's are best for slaying these types of wyverns, because their tail can be sliced of when hit enough from a greatsword. There also the best weapon strategy and skill wise for fighting rathalos. If you want to know which kind of weapon, I suggest obelion if you can make it, because it's a greatsword and has dragon properties and Rathalos weakness is dragon.

This is how you kill a rathalos:

(for starting battle)

-Approach with greatsword weilded
-He will notice you and charge at you
-Block his ram by holding R
-Press square to unequipped your weapon
-Throw paintball at him.

(fireball attack)

-After dodging his fireball, run at him facing him, and attack him pressing triangle for a quick attack on his wing-you can do the combo move: triangle, circle, triangle+circle. After that, roll to the side right away.
-After roll, quickly hold R because after a fireball attack he usually does a ram and you can still get hit by it, although it isn't likely.

(flying attacks)

-When he flies in the air, go under his shadow.
-After a airborne fireball attack, or tail attack, use the directional button-down, to look up at him, but get out his shadow!
-While hes coming back down, go behind him to where his tail is.
-most of the time doing a quick downwards strike on the tail misses, so just sheath your weapon, and press triangle and circle at the same time, to do a upwards strike-if that fails, your urged to hit him since you missed, but don't. get out of the way because he's probably going to do a tail swipe.

If you really want to defeat him without getting hurt a lot, bring flash bombs and trap's (Net+Trap Tool=trap, Ivy+Spiderweb = Net). You can get ivy/spiderwebs from kokoto farm or the old lady with the big bag on her back, and spiderwebs/trap tools from the lady at the stall. The lady with the big bag on her back sells packs of different things randomly.

I'm not that pro at killing rathian's, but don't fight her when she is in rage mode.

It's not simple to kill one when your starting off. Also, fire attribute weapons would probably heal it, it's weak against dragon type not fire or water newb¬_¬.
