After every mission even aborted, failed or from training school, every item on farm will be 'randomized' by game. Sometimes you get rare things sometimes other.

No abandoning a quest will not allow you to use your farm again had you exhausted all the points prior to starting the quest.
What lieutenant88pl was referring to was if you started a quest, did not farm that day, then abandoned, the materials would then be randomized. | |

Yes i mean that what RaineTheGlutton wrote. But if you fail quest-you get killed 3 times or kill not catch a wyvern than reasources will show up again.
