Voice Acting

What are your views on the Brothers in Arms voice acting and the return of many of the original favorites? I believe all of the voice actors who did work in Earned in Blood and Road to Hill 30 will be returning for Hell's Highway, so do you view this as good or bad? Personally, I think Troy Baker is the bomb at voice acting for Matt Baker and the dude who does Hartsock is equally badass. I love the BiA voice acting in general, so I'm psyched.

re: Voice Acting

i very impressed at the continuing storyline and the dedication of the Development team to have the voice acting continue through the series and keep it as believable as ever.

Keep up the good work team!

re: Voice Acting

Indeed, I did enjoy the sound of Baker's voice. But my favorite happens to be Mac. Leggett and Cole (RtH30), though...

re: Voice Acting

my favorite is Hartsock and Zanovich, because a couple of my friends sound sort of like them.

re: Voice Acting

Would anybody mind if I were to share some pieces of dialogue from the saga? Maybe reflect on some of Baker's words or something? Or simply have some laughs from comedy found in the story?

re: Voice Acting

i don't mind, i like when Mac said, "alright boy wonder, we gotta get movin", that gave me a chuckle, even after seeing George get killed.

re: Voice Acting

Hehe, here's my favorite:

(This is from The Fall of St. Come)

Allen: All I'm saying is, logistically, Superman would break Batman in half.
Leggett: Are you calling the Bat-A-Rang a sissy-toy?
Garnett: Yeah, with a name like Bat-A-Rang, why would anybody think Batman's a sissy?
Leggett: Superman doesn't have a cool identity. He just puts on glasses and acts like a jackass.
Allen: And it's a wonder you don't like him, Leggett.
Leggett: I happen to like superheroes that have a brain.
Allen: Leggett, he can melt things with his eyes. HIS EYES!
Mac: Knock it off. There's enough bullshit to fill a swimming pool around here.
Garnett: Why would you fill-
Mac: DON'T!

re: Voice Acting

thats always funny, not hard to figure out why they are always on Mac's "shitlist" as Garnett said.

re: Voice Acting

That's a new one. Guess it's from the PC game.

Another One (Beginning of Objective XYZ):

Mac: And if you meet any Germans, say "Hello" the Airborne way.
Allen: You mean, shoot them?
Mac: Yes, obviously, Private Allen.
Allen: Well, it's just that I've never said "Hello" like that before. You could just say "Shoot them".
Mac: Well, smartass, you're with me.

Poor Private Allen. He kinda reminds me of my innocent self.

re: Voice Acting

innocent, but with a big mouth lol.

The PC version went a little differently:

Leggett: Kickoff, fox 3, do you read, over...

Red: So were supposed to kill em all before breakfast, say, what do you suppose krauts eat for breakfast anyway... sausage? toast?

Garnett(looking at the remains of a slaughtered cow and birds fly off it's back splattering blood on him): Ahh! God Damn it!

Red(while looking at Garnett with everyone else): cold glass of blood?

Leggett: Sarge i cant get anyone.

Mac: Alright, same plan as before, Hartsock, your with Backer, the krauts don't know we're here, so go say hello the Airborne way.

Allen: you mean shoot them?

Mac: Yes, obviously private Allen.

Allen: it's just, ive never said hello like that, you could just say shoot them.

Mac: Well smartass, your with me,remember Baker, most of these guys dont know we're coming, so you and Hartsock tread lightly while you can, Move it!

re: Voice Acting

Yes, that's a bit different from the PS2 game. Of course, when I made my previous post, I did cut out the initial dialogue, when Leggett is having trouble with the radio transmitter.

Here's some I was actually surprised by:

(Beginning of Carentan; some parts cut out)

Hartsock: So, how many Germans are there?
Mac: Whatever's left. We're not too sure. *Pause* I trust you Baker.
Hartsock: Mac's pep talks aren't as peppy as they used to be.

It strikes me that these men, realistically, are war-weary after only about seven days of combat. Can you imagine how trying, tiring, or even sickening entire years of that must've been? I imagine it was literally Hell on Earth.

re: Voice Acting

that's what I love about BIA, it is "Day by Day", as opposed to battle by battle of COD and MOH, they only focus on a level or two in one country, say "Normandy", after 1 or 2 levels, it's off to Holland, thats what their doing with Medal of Honor:Airborne anyway.

By the way, i hear they cut out the Battle of the Bulge in MOH:Airborne, they say it doesn't have a spectacular Combat jump, so they didn't even include it at all, what's your opinion?

Eh, let's stick to Hell's Highway, alright, mate? What you're posting is classified as "spam", and I believe you've had some run-ins with some people over that issue, eh?

(I shall try to visit the Vanguard forum more often in a few days, okay?)

re: Voice Acting

(try the official site, my name is "Comatose Pilot 1") anyways, there are a few more differences to the PC version that the consoles, the sounds are ear piercing sharp, the frame rates are somewhat better and the events happen a little differently, like the deaths of Allen and Garnett.

The voice acting is the same, though, in the PC version?
