I'm thinking about getting this game, my decision rests with another topic I posted, but if I do end up getting this game, which class should I start with? I don't want the game to be too easy, I want the hard parts to be hard, and the fun parts to be fun, but I don't want to have to deal with a complicated class that needs several strategies just to stay alive. Suggestions?

Defender and berserker were both fun for me. Commando is pretty cool when you're playing online with co-op, but melee classes are much easier to play in my experience.

bio engineer. they actually regenerate health. no other class does this. its useful because you get heath packs like crazy until you need them. then there are none to be found and kill 1000 enemys and they wont drop shit.

i found it easier to start as a commando or a defender as a first class. berserkers will be gimped by most bosses (hod in perticular) witch makes them pretty difficult to use. after knocking off the difficulty curve i recommend a Bio due their end game capabilities (by endgame i'm mean lvl 50,red armor,red charms.) i never had good experience with champions due to the fact that i do better with specialization.

I got the game and started with the defender, I figured he looked cool so what the heck lol, I'm at lvl 30 now, and I have a secondary Commando that seems like it's having an easier time... still getting ticked at those goblins that don't take damgage through gun-fire but whatever, I can deal with it

I would defender because of the fact that they can go for long periods of time with no health orbs, and because the most I died on every lvl was at least 2 times, which is alot less than my beserker, who died like 15 times per lvl ,except the first, that lvl is super easy to beat without dying
