Mass Effect PS3, who's getting it?

*Raises hand*

Not long for PS3 owners who are fans of the Mass Effect franchise, like myself, to wait for the first game of the trilogy. I'll definitely be getting it. I'll download it from the PS Store, as I have both 2 and 3, so I don't need the trilogy box.

That's sort of their 'thing'. I think it's a safe bet that they'll make sure you can transfer saves over from the preceding game. The save files themselves are not particularly hard to decipher.

Got this downloaded yesterday morning, and started my Soldier playthrough last night (already done ME2/3 playthroughs as an Infiltrator and an Adept). Great to hear that ME1 saves on PS3 can be imported to ME2, but I really hope that characters and scenarios will be carried across too.

At the moment it's a bit like watching a prequel (like a good Phantom Menace) - seeing Anderson as Captain of the Normandy, seeing Shephard being informed of his trial for SPECTRE status....can't wait to get back to it.

I bought it yesterday. I'm a Mass Effect virgin. Never played a single ME game so I'm glad I'm starting fresh with the first game. Quite enjoying it too.

Yeah I was tempted to get ME2 a few times Bergin but with it being such a heavy story driven game I didn't like the idea of starting with the sequel. I'm glad I waited for ME1 to come to PS3.
I have a feeling it would be hard to get into ME1 after playing the sequel.
