Ashley vs Liara - Page 2

I wouldn't get upset over what Blackthorn says. He's just extremely defensive about Liara. Most gamers who choose Liara tend to put down Ashley by exaggerating Ashley's beliefs, her marine qualities of being ignorant about aliens in the beginning, and her use of poetry.
Ashley specificially says she doesn't have any problem with anyone else believing or not believing in anything. It's a private conversation between you and your Shepard. It's your Shepard that wants to be renegade to her, then fine.

The same thing with Liara, Shepard can be mean to her, and she'll still take it.

If anyone did a Liara vs. Kaidan thread, I think most people would choose Liara.

Ashley, I paired her with my male Paragon, cause they have different beliefs (well not really, he also believes in god, and likes poetry), but he's not as alien biased as she is, so they've debated about that and blab blah two halfs complete a whole.

Liara, was paired with my female renegade, cause since Liara is such a good girl and so innocent I could see her falling in love with a bad ass bitch (or mother*bleep*er). Though I chose the options not to outright insult her, and most of the time Shepard is nice and caring towards her. Shepard (much to Liara's sake) actually genuinely loves her, cause she's actually been inside her mind and I can't see her falling for anyone else. (although the Kaiden pairing might go well for a renegade girl, I'm currently doing kaiden with my neutral girl)

That's how I usually do my Shepards, but I haven't done Kaidens yet.

You guys do know that you can Paragon/Renegade Charm/Intimidate Ashley and Kaiden right?

It's not in the FAQS, but it's a secret area that most people don't know about or have tried.

Example:

When you paragon Ashley, you tell her the alliance is right: always choose paragon options with her. And she'll say back, I don't know about that, and then you continue to keep talking, then the red and blue bars open up for you to charm/intimidate her.

Afterwards, she changes her mind about the council, and throughout the entire game, she will have extra dialogue right after you sacrifice Kaiden on Virmire. She'll talk about how the council really needs to help now, and is sweet about it, and how genocide of an entire species woke her up and it is wrong. She will also not be pleased or not say anything to you if you kill the salarians on Virmire, or kill the Asari who works for Saren. At the end of the game, on Ilos, she will tell you that you should save the council. And if you pair her with Liara on Ilos, Liara will be the one to tell you to focus on Sovereign, save humanity and not the council.

Extra added dialogue in the romance when she comes to you in the room before Ilos. This dialogue is her saying that she's had a lot to think about during the few months she's stayed on the ship and has changed her thinking.

It's because you are romancing her, make her switch however you want that will be in accordance to your choices.

I forgot to mention. You need to have at least a few points in Charm/Intimidate to change their minds.

i'll stick with inter-racial mass effect sex. but in my opinion ashley is a bitch and liara is aweswome. i wish that you could get that quarian chick. i wanted to see her face soo bad!
