	I guess the gift you are saying is; Water Crest by the hermit. You can get water crest if you open one of the chest behind your ruins entrance. (The Red Door) (NOTE: YOU HAVE TO UNLOCK RED JEWELS TO GO BEHIND UR RUINS ENTRANCE, THE RED DOOR.) So just search everywhere, go to the staircases, open all the chests and you'll find a water crest. Give it to the hermit and he will give you the forest crest. The rest, good luck.... I completed the game ,and also 5000 crops in year 1 and 2. It's easy, just that for the 5000 crops it bores me out.
