Hey, just a note to everybody that I got a name change! So, this is still Princess Alyak, so feel free to still call me Alyak if you want, because that's probably what most of you know me as. Or, you can go with Rain or Crystal.

Anyways, I suppose I could have put this in the introduction thread, but thought it might be more noticeable here.


Anyways, while I'm posting here, does anyone have any ideas to make this forum more active? Preferrably ideas for discussion, but perhaps a game or two wouldn't hurt. So if you have anything post it here, or pm me. =)

Usually once a year. ^^ Actually, we normally have one this time of year, but since we were so late this year, we probably won't have another one until the summer...

I'm all up for Forum Awards, they're always fun. Not sure if I could help any with counting votes, I do get busy unfortunately. But I'll definitely participate if we have them!

I was browsing through the HM: MFoMT forum recently, and I saw a bunch of stuff that kept that place active. Besides the usual things that we already have here in the forum, they had things like a Caption Contest and an imitation of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. If someone wanted to organize those, I think they'd be fun.

Also, even though we've had a bunch of these, a roleplay. Though it was worked really hard on the last time, maybe one that's more lax, to encourage members to join? The MFoMT forum had one like that, and they went through 6 threads, I believe. Wow.

... And, dare I say it, we could revive the interview thread. @ x @ Or put up some more discussion threads/bump the ones we already have, like Alyak did with the Bachelor one. ~

I think forum awards is a good idea,it does bring in more members
As far as on topic threads the bests ones I've seen have been generic
where you can talk about anything on topic
I think the other ones fade unless it's bachelor-bachelorettes xD

YES! Definatly a RP, There is a really good one in the HMDS forum, It's pretty active, they have a certain account that a few people know the password to and they check so all you have to do is send the info to and they post it up for you, they have like jobs and EVERYTHING! I will love you all if we get an RP! If we do, I would like to nominate myself for checking the account for new RP people, as I am on nearly every day

How about a character making contest, with heart events and even Images, there is one on the IOH forum, but that forum isnt very active!

and about a roleplay, like Bitter Sweet said, I think it might actually work if the rules are more lax. I think if we brainstormed a bit, we'd be able to find a way to make it a quality yet fun RP. Plus, as the Forum Award seem to be generating a bit of interest, if we posted a RP visiting members might join. Just my thoughts on it ^^

also, beccyorange28 mentioned a Character Making Contest, like they have in IoH. I've always thought this was a really fun thread, and it's pretty easy to understand and everything and even people who don't always participate much in the forum usually join :) I would be quite happy to set up such a thread if there was enough interest.

In response to Beccy's idea, there was actually something like that back in the MFoMT forum (not sure if anyone here visited it at all) called the Design Team, or something to that effect. They would use the tektek site to create the characters on there and then dress them up to a specific theme that was set, and the winner got to judge, etc etc.

Also, I like Snow's idea of having just one general discussion thread, instead of having a bunch of different ones. They can get hard to find and when you run out of topics in them, then they die out and hide themselves in the back few pages of the forum. So, sure, maybe a discussion thread for the bachelors and bachelorettes, but maybe not for the other things like mining and farming and such.
