Saturday, Spring 6th, Year 1
Hope pushed the quilt to one side, and jumped out of bed. Giggling, she pulled on her clothes, and made her way downstairs for breakfast. There was only one word on her mind all morning.
Rock.
As she skipped in the direction of the kitchen, whistling a little tune, there happened to be a knock at the door. Hope stopped whistling. "I'll get it!" she called cheerfully.
"What is wrong with that girl this morning?" Romana asked Lumina, pulling a puzzled face.
"Who knows." Lumina replied, slouching into her seat.

"I hate stubborn people like you." Alice said, "But, I also know stubborn people like you are stubborn, therefore won't move if I tell them too and I don't want to get aggressive so..."
Alice smiled, but only a little half smile.
"Why do you want to get to know me so much?" she said her face then turning as serious as it usually did.

While Jennifer talked to Alice, she grabbed a black piece of paper and started drawing.
When she finished, Jennifer said she wanted to get to know Alice.
Katie quickly hid the realistic drawing of Alice and Jennifer talking in her pocket.
She massaged her ankle and listened to Jennifer talk.

Rock. Rock. Rock. Rock.
Her heart beated. Fast. She dusted herself down, and adjusted her hair into place. "How do I look?" she asked Romana and Lumina, turning around to face them.
Lumina grinned. "Nice."
Romana and Lumina exchanged glances.
"Good. Do you think this shirt goes with-"
"Just open the door, dear." Romana said, firmly.
"Right, okay." Hope said, turning back to face the door. The doorbell rang. Again. Hope took a deep breath, and twisted the door knob sideways.

Saturday, Spring 6th, Year 1
"Two reasons." Jennifer said simply. "The first being that you got along exceptionally with Cliff, even though you were pushy at first. But the second, and most important reason, is that you seem like me. Something clouding your thoughts, not really getting along with people. I try to hide it, I try to forgive and forget, you don't. That's what it seems like anyway. I want to get to know you better because you seem so distant." She explained, enphasizing the word because. Every last bit of it was true. Alice was intimidating, but also distant, not nice, those are some of the best kind of people.
"If you give me the chance to listen to you, the chance to get along, then I'll take it." She wasn't going to give up, but Alice knew that. She may be trying to hard, but that's how she is. Ever since that incident... 'Stop! don't remember things like that, just don't' she thought quickly, holding her head for a moment. But she looked up even quicker when Alice replied.

"Because I'm distant? I wasn't always like this but..." Alice stopped in her tracks, "Um, well I guess since I met you I wanted to get to know you better, because the way you were was so typical, yet you had this radiance about you? It's hard to explain..."
Alice sighed.
"Erm...I well, want to be friends...even though I swore I wouldn't make any I am with cliff anyway so I already broke my promise..."

Katie signed her drawing then crumpled it and threw it in the trash trying to not let anybody notice.
"I'll go now." Katie said and limped back to her room.
"Wow, this place is... interesting." Katie said to herself.
"I wonder what happened to Alice. I know she's hiding something. I wonder if I can help."
Then someone knocked on the door.
"Come in."
It was Trent.
"I felt guilty leaving you alone."
They talked while Trent tried to heal her wound. |

Saturday, Spring 6th, Year 1
"Erm...I well, want to be friends...even though I swore I wouldn't make any I am with Cliff anyway so I already broke my promise..." Jennifer smiled.
"I'll let you decide when and where you want to tell me about this secret, but I'll show you some of my pictures, they are sort of like my history." Jennifer walked over to Alice's bed, only to notice Katie was gone. '...Katie... you dork... with her luck, she's probably with Trent.'
Alice sat next to Jennifer while she took off her rucksack, reached into it, and pulled out a sketch book. She handed it to Alice, who flipped to a page that Jennifer said was titled, "Moonlit Memory."
The picture was of a young woman, and her child. The child was in her arms, looking at a pond. The mother was doing the same. There were trees all around, and it was night. The pond had only one lilypad, and on it, a flower in full bloom. Oddly enough, there was also a very light, almost unoticeable sketch of a women coming out of the full bloom flower. Jennifer had spent about a year to perfect that one picture, her most important memory of her mother.
Jennifer refused to remeber it, still, so she looked away, leaving Alice to examine it.

Alice flipped open the book she was given and looked inside.
"...this...is your...mother, isn't it..." Alice said, but then realising the expression on Jennifer's face she gave her back the book and said, "I can see where you get you plain jane looks from!"
Alice didn't mean that in a rude way, she just wanted to lighten up the spirit a tiny bit.
"Hey, wanna hang out?" Alice said with a full on smile.

Katie talked with Trent for a while but then he had to leave.
"There's no more shouting. I think Alice is happy now. Oh well. Now what should I do?"
Katie limped over to Daryl's to visit Leia.
"What happened Katie?" Leia asked
"I tripped and sprained my ankle. How are you?"
Katie and Leia talked about their day.
They had fun talking to each other. |

It was Rock.
"Hey! Rock!" cried Hope. "How're you doing?"
"Pretty good thanks, Hope. And you?"
"Yeah, I've been feeling good."
"Awesome."
Hope giggled nervously, and led Rock into the kitchen. "Hey guys. This is Rock. He's... My friend."
Lumina grinned, and started chatting away to Sebastian.
"Oh, it's just wonderful that our Hope is settling in. I hope you could show her round. Help her out a bit, eh?" Romana said, smiling at Rock.

Saturday, Spring 6, Year 1
Kyra woke up feelong confused. Last night Phoebe had run away, saying something about a bracelet she had lost. Kyra wondered why Phoebe hadn't asked Kyra to help. Oh, well, she thought, I'm sure it doesn't mean anything . Besides, they had had lots of fun.
Now, what to do today?
She decided to go to that Turtle Pond she'd seen when Phoebe had shown her around yesterday. They had been in such a hurry that she barely had seen it; she'd only had a chance to briefly say hi to a hippe-looking guy, whose name she hadn't caught. She wondered if he'd be there today...
(the hippie being, of course, Gustafa!)

Penelope walked down the sandy shores of the Beach. She found herself constantly thinking about Jill.
"She's a nice girl and pretty, too." she thought.
Penelope walked closer to the ocean. She sat for a while, watching the sun rise.
"How pretty." she said to herself.
Penelope was actually getting quite bored, she would hate to bother Jill. So, she decided to go and visit one of her friends. Penelope chuckled, "Let's see who's my lucky friend today."
She got up and walked back into the Valley, smiling the whole way singing.
"Lalalala..."
