Questions re: Reincarnation, Characters, etc. |
|
Some random questions - I've only been playing for less than a week, so I haven't gotten too far.
1. What is the best level to start reincarnating your guys? My characters are currently around level 12. Should I start reincarnating them now to their higher classes (Fighter to Warrior, etc.) or should I wait until they're level 20 or higher? 2. Character Creation: Are there any classes to avoid? For instance, one guide recommends avoiding the Sinner and Gunner. I'm considering creating a Magic Knight, Beast Trainer, and a Thief. Any recommendations? 3. How the heck do you defeat Etna without being level 999 or whatever? 4. Item World: I figure I should hold off on really building up any weapons until I get some good stuff. Then again, I need to go through Item world to gain exp, money, etc. Any strategies I should know about? 5. Last but not least - any tips for the Dark Court? It seems like I'm always getting shot down for bills and I don't really have many good items to bribe with. Thanks in advance for any help!

1. You don't need to reincarnate in your first playthrough. You don't even need to reincarnate. Ever. But if you DO want to reincarnate, I'd recommend do it at level 2000+ for the stat bonuses.
2. There's NO class to avoid, all classes have their ups and downs. In this game, there's no class that stands out compared to others. Yes, including the monsters too 3. In your first playthrough, you're supposed to lose that battle. 4. Only one: SAVE before you go into ANY item world. 5. Do some research on "felonies". They'll help. The more felonies you have, the easier it is to get the bills passed. 6. Why not join Neoseeker -------------------

quote OSGi can also answer a few 2.most classes rock. if you go to the item world a lot, get a druid. if you like monsters, get a beast tamer or two. and most importantly, if you like surviving, try this combo of classes/weapons Adell:fists Rozalin:gun male fighter:axe/sword cleric:bow/staff 3 skulls-ice,wind,fire:staff druid:staff beast tamer: choices ninja:spear, fists, whatever that's a pretty good group, just sub in tink or whatever if you don't like em 3.don't bother trying. stick everyoen out and die 4. save like mettaur said, and get mr. gency exits. a lot of them 5.felonies, and also keep trying until you get a legendary senator, then bribe like crazy. they can kill opposing senators, put them to sleep, and they have a huge impact on whether you get it or not. ------------------- ![]() Credits to mettaur Sign-I'll sign back

Geeze, that hurt/heal spam needs to die, I can never tell when a new topic comes up!
quote OSG2: I guess you are pointing to my guide, eh? The whole reason I say to stay away from them is because there are other classes that do the job just as well or even better. Adell and Rozilin are better Sinners/Gunner due to the fact that that they gain special attacks and have better stats.(They also have 0 in all elementals) Even then, Ninjas and Thieves do just a good as job when compared to Sinners and Gunners. I like Thieves over Gunners because they can cause status effects and jump higher. I prefer Ninjas to Sinners because the Ninjas gain special attacks, have better movement, speed, and more options when it comes to weapons. The classes you wish to make are all pretty good. Thieves and Beast Master I highly recommend. Thieves are good with guns and can be quite flexible, while Beast Masters are good fighters and can make monsters nasty. Mage Knights are good support, and can help when dealing with the elemental system. I like my Mage Knight with a sword/staff or Bow/staff combo.(Long range attacks with a spell any one?) 4: Always check the map! You never know where that geostone/secret room is hiding. Remember to take advantage of geo stones and the throw command when ever possible. 5: Congress can be tough. I suggest to buy crappy items to give them. You may not may not pass bills when you start off, but bribing can build support as you progress through the game. ------------------- ![]()

Frozen Atari is right. i don't have a sinner or gunner at all. Adell and Rozalin are fine. also, on the topic of dark assembly, i believe that if a senator likes it or not is completely random. so give senators the worst stuff that they like the most. that's my advice

Well, nothing in Disgaea is random, it all has a formula. If it is like the first game, each senator has a item rarity range they like. Give the senator an Item rarity closer to the rarity number they prefer, the more the demon will like you. (or something like that, I forget the exact formula for it) Although I'm not sure if it works the same in Disgaea 2, but i'm pretty sure it does.

that sounds right. then by bad items of different rarity and find what the legendary senators like. they can make or break a bill
