Against Gongora at lvl 79, no fun

This is a story about how to make your end game feel kinda easy and lame. Just level up too much like I did and miss the fun and epical feeling of the battle for world's destiny. Though it's also a nice way to just play with enemies and smack them with über magics and physical skills.

I've just beaten the game and despite of walktrough (which I used only at the second Grand Staff) warnings about very difficult last bosses I found the end ridiculously easy.

My party was Kaim lvl 79, Seth 79, Sed 77, Sarah 79, Ming 78. Everyone had their best weapons (Kaim used Tolten's ultimate, Sarah Larsen's and Ming Cooke's). Every Immortal had the best (I assume) skills (28 slots each), Kaim and Seth 9999hp, Ming and Sarah 999mp and all of them had full resistance against Elemental damage and status ailments.

Maybe some spoiler. So warning. Or not. I'm not sure. Just read it!

Luminous Magic Beast died in three turns as both Seth and Kaim used 3 Combo, with double All Powerus. Kaim made ~4300 and Seth ~3500 dmg on single hit. So that's about 9x4300 + 9x3500 = 70000 dmg, as the Beast only had around 60000 hp. Not quite a challenge I'd say.

Same went for Gongora. As the real battle began, I wanted to end it with style so Ming and Sarah used Leveler and Kaim Ultimate Hit on the same turn and that was it. Leveler did a bit over 20 000 and U-H about 18 000 dmg. Can't say I was in trouble as Gongora didn't even use any spells that would have damaged my immortals. Sed lost about 1000 dmg but i didn't bother to heal.

I guess when I have enough enthuism I'll handle the Backyard challenge but not now. At the moment I'm just too disappointed to the lameness of my overpowerness.

Game took me 115 hours! I think I got a bit lost on my odyssey.

I gave up a few years ago after 25 hours when I got stuck in the sorcerers temple in the Crimson Forest and I couldn't work out how to get through that door using the boulder. In fact I worked it out but the "press A to push" didn't appear over the column and so I went around the entire area 5x before giving up. Triggering all those monsters made me really irate.

So, couple of weeks ago I decided to finish the game, got through the doorway, turns out you just have to face into the object to push it DOH! (looked it up on the net).

I had kaim(79) (with toltens sword), seth(79), sarah(70+), ming(70+) and mack(50+). I didn't have the really powerful rings as I didn't seem to be able to build many level 3 ones, only Kings (toltens) on seth and the one from the Orchidism quest on kaim and a magic blocking ring on mack.

FYI I used white magic (divide) as it only had 1 turn cast with double cast for all the immortals and I had mack using regenera. I had MP skills maxed out on kaim and seth and HP skills max out on sarah and ming with relax on mack.

With 10,000 HP, 10,000 HP, 7000, 7000, 3500 that means about 68k (excluding mack) damage per turn assuming they aren't injured.
