Got a tale tell? Story to unfold? Legend to spread? Then lets hear them!

From here will be stories in any format. Journal entries, novels to even narrative stories. Each will be linked with the character name and author name like the example below: (yes you can do this yourselves in this thread if you know how to do it, if not then do it and I will fix it later)

This may change at some point. Of course you can have multiple characters and I will make sure to keep them with their author's other stories.

In this thread I will leave it for a discussion, as in what you like and dislike about a story and if needed give a rating and such.

To make a story just create a new thread with your story title as the subject heading. I will then link it here.

Finally, this is not a contest or to see who is better. Just have fun at giving more depth to your characters and sharing them with others

A word of warning however, if this is used just to spam the forum or to gain post counts at a faster rate then you will be instantly banned for abusing my time and effort...which is the fastest way of making me an enemy...which you don't want Last thing, english please...no text talk. Slang is fine to show someone who has an accent but when writing proper english is to be used

That link will take you directly to the thread that holds my story (since I am mod I can keep it locked and open it when I feel like writing hence why it is locked for the moment). The same is done here but what this thread does is keeps all the stories done by members in one place. So for example, if LoD made one and didn't update it for a month it would be around page 10 and mean searching for it.

With this thread here, he can simply look for his post with the link and bump his story up with the update and yes I do plan to place this in the header section to cut down the stickies we have

Rhas I know. If you look I have already posted in that with my own story, thus I knew about its existence. Better yet last post was made May 11th and it was being buried (see GD thread)

Lastly the organisation in there was appalling, no offence but I am surprised anyone knew where each other's stories were, thus this will be easier to find. By all means it can be used still or used to link in here

Shadowj will you link our stories here when we make them because... well i don't know how to link... So yeah it would be helpful or you could tell me how to link either one... ( I haven't written one yet I'm doing it on paper first, only to get a rough idea though then i will type it up on here)... Thanks

Simply make a thread in the forum, of course use the name of what you want to call it as the title then use the form I have put in here:

Author: Your Name
Character: Just your character name is needed unless you want to tell everyone what your character is etc.
Completed: No (obviously this will be no until you have written it down etc.
Date: 04/02/07 (The date the story was created)
Story: The title of your story and the link to it

To link you will need the URL of your story thread (so needs to be created first) when you are on the main forum page, right click on your thread name and go down to copy shortcut

Now when replying to this thread use the [link name=Title of the story]URL of the story[/link] you can simply place the cursor between the ]|[ like so, right click and then click on paste or press CTRL and V on the keyboard

If that sounds too much then ignore the last two paragraphs and when I am around I will do it for you

Yay, more self-promotion writing! Does it have to be original character related? The only Oblivion work I have is DB (hold on, don't cry yet), but its from the point of view of a certain psychotic Breton...

nope doesn't to be your character (although that technically is the idea ) the fact is, I am a writer and I know restrictions put people off. The only restrictions here are that they have something to do with Oblivion (can be set in the oblivion world, could even be yourself being sucked into the game etc.) and the fact it has to be in english. A few spelling and grammar mistakes here and there are fine but if it isn't readable then it is gone basically.

Such as when life grants me a few days that I can use for my projects, I plan to write some more on Brackus' adventures. Liekos will be gaining his own story and I plan to convert an old Morrowind journey to Oblivion (Shadow Legends)

Again there are no limits meaning if you fancy adding a new race into the mix then do so but obviously make it fit such as Shadow Legends fit into Morrowind because it followed an exile from an unknown race known as the Secronic's (Shadow Beings). For centuries they had been around and were even witnesses to the Battle of Redmountain yet the empire abolished every book that spoke of them until one day the exile broke his people's lore and took a step on Vvardenfell soil.

It isn't finished and I did plan to release it as a mod, I may see if I can release it for Oblivion too but will have to rewrite it all etc. but anyway back to the point...as long as it is Oblivion...it is fine here

Hmm. I've been thinking about a chaptered story... If my mind's not sidetracked, I might actualy write it! If it ever starts, I'll be sure to put it up here.
