I thought it might a good idea to make a goal thread as I've been meaning to write down my goals for a while now and I figured why not share them with everyone else, and let other people showcase theirs as well? Your goals can be about anything, skills, quests/guilds, money, items, finding your own great enchantments or potions (Coognut, Dragon Warrior

). Whatever you want. Here's mine...
Collection/Exploration 1,000,000 gold (currently 180,000) - I'll doing alot of looting, especially when I find new places to loot that I've never been to before. I can easily get over 1000 encumbrance thanks to enchantments and and an awesome custom feather potion I have which is stackable. I also am a master in Alchemy so 1 ingredient potions are easy money. I will not be duping at all to make money.
This was a good thread and I found it all the way back on like page 7... I'm saving it now!!!
I have a new goal Nyff:
I want my maid at Rosethorn Manor("Eyja") to have a million gold that she carries on her person. So far, I have given her over half a million. I will do the speechcraft mini-game to lower her disposition all the way down first. Then I bribe her all the way back up before starting the minigame again to lower her back down, etc. Since my character is a master of the restoration skill he can cast "strength +100" five times at once for two minutes. So that is 3000+ weight when added to my normal capacity that I can carry at once(not counting the buyable feather spells like "Pack Mule" and "Beast of Burden"). I will go into oblivion gates or something and gather all sorts of loot. Usually, I will make around 80-100k each run to the store. I gather up 200-300k worth of gold and then spend time just off-loading it to Eyja the maid. She's like my own personal bank now. If I ever have to pull the money I can just pickpocket it off her, no problem. She doesn't report you to guards for doing so and all you have to do is repeatedly hit the button until you get it off her.
So I'll give her a million to hold on to for a rainy day, and then I will start collecting a million gold myself.

ooh, interesting idea Coognut. So you're effectively using Eyja as a bank?

Maybe you should reverse pickpocket some permanent bound armour onto her, make you're bank a little bit more safe.

I already made and enchanted a full set(including shield, mace, and claymore) of zero-weight daedric armor for her and named each piece "Eyja's Armor (#1-5)", "Eyja's Shield", "Eyja's Mace", and "Eyja's Claymore". The armor is all enchanted with different resist (element) enchantments. The mace has a burden enchantment and the claymore has a strong absorb health enchantment. I left the shield and the mace wedged into the space to the right of her wardrobe by her bed. And her helmet sits on the chest in the corner at the foot of her bed along with the "Blue Collar Shirt".
I don't have her wear the armor all the time because she looks bad-ass the way I have her dressed right now. She is wearing a black robe with a black hood and has the claymore strapped to her back.(I haven't enchanted the robes & hood yet cause I am undecided on what I want to enchant them with.) She looks like a Sith Lord straight out of Star Wars!

If someone were to come mess with her while she is looking like that, then they are nuts. Plus, she will hack them to pieces with the enchanted claymore sucking thier health out for her, just like a vampire's maid should fight.

I even have to watch
my step with her. Even though she could not really kill my character, she sure doesn't hesitate to whip out that huge sword if you piss her off!

In case you are wondering how I got her a whole wardrobe of clothing that I can dress her in any way and time that I want, look at this post that I put in the "
101 Things to do after Completing Oblivion!" thread:
quote Coognut on page 6 of the 101 Things to do after Completing Oblivion! thread
68) Give your maid at Rosethorn Manor (or almost any NPC really) their own custom wardrobe:
There is a way to equip your maid with different clothes than the standard dress she normally wears. Here is what you will need to do:
- Obtain (at the least) the "Bound Cuirass" and "Bound Greaves" spells from the spell merchant located at the Chorrol Mages Guild hall.
- If you are already at/above the "Expert" level in the skill of Armorer, then summon the cuirass/greaves and repair them while the spells are running. Repairing bound armor allows it to then be dropped so drop both the cuirass and greaves before the spells end. After the spells end the armor will still be lying on the ground and you can then pick them up as they will be permanent "zero-weight" items at that point. If you are lower than the "Expert" skill level then you will have to either get an enemy to attack you and damage the armor while the spells are running so you can do this or use a "Disintegrate Armor" spell on yourself.
- Take your new permanent zero-weight armor to your maid at Rosethorn Manor. If you do not own that property then try this trick with other NPCs -or- read the following quoted description of how to buy Rosethorn Manor. After buying the property you will have to also buy the "House Servants Quarters" package from the shop owner at Colovian Traders and then speak with "Eyja" there in the shop to get her to agree to be your in-house maid:
quote Coognut
If you're rich and can afford the best, then you will probably want to get Rosethorn Manor in Skingraad. To buy it you will need a Fame of 20 or higher and 25,000 septims. (start mixing and selling those potions if you need some cash) If you can meet those requirements then talk to the counts butler: Shum gro-Yarug (orc). Shum hangs out around noon every day at the "Colovian Traders" store across the street from the mages guild in Skingraad.
- Eyja the maid will not give you a bounty level if you blatantly pickpocket her so don't be afraid of that. What you do is reverse-pickpocket the zero-weight bound cuirass and greaves onto her person. Then you wait until she goes to bed and wakes up again. Eyja sleeps from midnight to 7am everyday. When she gets up out of bed with that armor in her inventory she will automatically equip it. Since she now has the armor equipped instead, you will be able to pickpocket her standard dress off of her. Keep in mind that once you do this there will be no way to ever give her back that old dress. (Also, if you remove her shoes as well, using the bound boots spell armor, you will never be able to equip her with normal shoes again- so you may want to just let her keep her normal shoes)
- To get the armor back from her after pickpocketing her standard dress off of her you will want to once again wait until she goes to bed. I have found that if you do not watch her get into bed (I will wait outside the basement door next to the fireplace in the entrance hall) you can find her sleeping naked pretty easy and then pickpocket the armor back from her. In my experience this has not worked 100% of the time (I find her sleeping in the armor and cannot take it) but if you try a few times it should definitely work eventually. Just wait until like 1am or later and if you find her sleeping in the armor, then wait until you physically see her up again. After that wait until the next night with the same technique and try again on the new night to see if she is sleeping naked. If that doesn't work then try just waiting for 24 hours while looking at her sleeping in her bed. I have found that method can work too at times. Just keep trying different things until you get it done, it should not take that long.
- Once you have taken her standard dress and the bound armor back from her, she will be ready to equip whatever zero-weight outfit you wish to see her wear. All you do is reverse-pickpocket "zero-weight" clothing onto her and she will equip it the next time she sleeps and wakes up. Then just repeat the process to change her clothes whenever you want.
"Zero-Weight" Clothing I Have Found So Far:
note: In order to obtain much of this clothing you will need to perform the above method to first remove it from the NPC wearing it... In many cases this may involve giving them the bound armor and just waiting 24 hours in the same spot to see them walking around in it. In the case of shop owners you will want to give them the bound armor and wait 24 hours outside the actual shop and then go back in.To search for and find this special clothing I have gotten into the habit of following a certain method: First I will look for a likely candidate that seems to be wearing clothing that is not as common as the rest. Then I will save my game as I am standing there looking at them. After saving I will kill them and see if they have zero-weight clothing in their possession. Whether they do or not I will re-load my game and either take the right clothing with the correct corresponding bound armor or let them go on their way. The following is what I have acquired so far by only searching the Market District in the Imperial City and obtaining a couple things randomly in my journeys with this new character I am currently playing:
Tops:
- Blue Collar Shirt: The shop owner Jensine at "Jensine's Good As New Merchandise" in the Market District wears this nice blue shirt. This shirt also matches well with the blue zero-weight "Mage's Hood" listed below.
- Dark Shirt: This shirt can be found many places in the game. A few examples for you though: Vicente Valtieri the vampire at the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary in Cheydinhal. Dynari Amnis is a Thieves Guild member that can be found wandering around the Market District. The villian Agarmir in the Market District quest "Unfriendly Competition" wears the Dark Shirt.
- Forester's Shirt: Cicero Verus is a Dark Horse Courier distributor that usually can be found hanging out around the City Arena gate in the Market District.
- Plaid Shirt: Rochelle Bantien can be found hanging out around the middle of the Market District during the day.
- Shirt with Suspenders: I do not recall exactly where I got this top but I want to say somewhere in Anvil. I also believe there may be more than one occurrence of this top in the game. I can tell you however that there is two different "Shirt with Suspenders" tops I have found. One is zero-weight and the other is not. Each will have a different picture and be listed separately in your inventory menu as well.
Bottoms:
- Black Wide Pants: IMO, these are the coolest looking zero-weight pants out of those I have found so far. I know of three places to get them at this point: Vicente Valtieri the vampire at the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary in Cheydinhal. One pair can be found lying on the floor of one of the basement bedrooms at the Bruma Mages Guild hall before it is ransacked during that guild's quest line. The shop owner Hamlof Red-Tooth at "Red Diamond Jewelry" in the Market District wears a pair.
- Rugged Pants: I do not recall where I got these pants, but once again I want to say somewhere in Anvil.
- Short Britches: The shop owner Rohssan at "Fighting Chance" in the Market District has these pants in her possession.
Hood:
- Mage's Hood: Once more, I do not recall where I obtained this item, but it does look pretty nice combined with the "Blue Collar Shirt" above...
EDIT: arachnophilia pointed out a UESP page that shows all the clothing for Oblivion including all zero-weight clothing and their locations:
All Clothing LocationsI also made a full set of bound armor along with a mace and a claymore sword for her. I enchanted all of it, added her name to each piece, and then added it to the wardrobe by her bed as well.
I also used this method to fully equip with enchanted armor and weapons a male Nord mage apprentice that follows me around since I have become the Arch-Mage with my new character. You use the above method on the follower of your choice before actually asking them to follow you. Wait for a day and then ask the one that looks like a Dremora Lord to follow you

The only problem with this that I have found is that if I fast travel with the apprentice in tow he will automatically remove everything and revert to his original outfitting. I even tried stealing his robe while he was wearing the bound armor and he just magically got a new one. I ended up physically walking all the way from the Arcane University to Rosethorn Manor and told him to stay there for when I want to use him. Another thing you may want to do is use a "Disintegrate Weapon" spell on him to entice him to drop the dagger he starts with and start using the daedric weapons you give him instead. He will stay in costume for me as long as I don't fast travel while he is following. Although my character does not need a follower to do anything, I find this to be very amusing at times.

(
Edit: I left the fully armored Mage Apprentice in Rosethorn Manor and eventually he reverted to his standard robe again. So equipping a follower in armor is not good unless you want to use them pretty much right away.)
I already collected all the zero-weight clothing and filled her wardrobe closet next to the bed with it, along with the rest of her zero-weight daedric armor that isn't set up around her room. The chest in the corner near the foot of her bed has all the different types of shoes(though none of those normal shoes are zero-weight)
