"The Weapon" question

In my opinion, it was the prophecy... if you see how much does Malfoy wants it

So then (spoiler me here please) do they mention the weapon again in the 6th book?

(its me who started this thread, but I am in a public computer, so I prefer not to login)

I read the book. The weapon should be the prophercy in some way but i didn't get it in the film and i don't remeber it from the book. I'll ask my friend then i'll post here

EDIT: ok...so i know how it was with the secret weapon. The secret weapon was actually the prophercy. Lord Voldemort thought that the prophercy says how to kill Harry but he didn't hear it. He never did. Only Harry and his friends knows what the prophercy says (you finds out in the film) Voldemort didn't. It would't help him anyway 'cause the prophercy doesn't say anything about how to kil Harry.

Snape eavesdropped on part of it when it actually happened, and went to tell Voldemort. As I said, he only heard part of it though.

If such a thing were true, then the others in the Order of the Pheonix would not be referring to it as a weapon and would be trying to protect Harry with all their power. The idea of prophecy being a weapon isn't a new one and it was surprising to learn that it was knowing what was supposed to happen, of having knowledge, which would be the power behind Voldemort's rise.

It is the prophecy.

The Prophecy was not the weapon. Harry Potter himself is. The connection forged between the two is what he didn't have before. Now having that connection he can use it as a Weapon against Harry, Dumbledore, and the rest of the Order. After all, the Dark Lord wouldn't have been able to even attempt getting the prophecy without that connection.

That is my opinion anyway.
