I know one group was going to release their own version of it, purely for the fun and continuation of it, but I dunno what happened to it.

Either way, like Thigas said, Star Force is released. That's the continuation of the series. It ends on MMBN6, and I think it ended pretty well, for my tastes.

Star Force is not a continuation of Battle Network. It's an entirely new series that just happens to share some similarities with Battle Network. If it was a continuation of the Battle Network series, Lan and Megaman would still be around and jacking in to random things.
