Hey if anyone is having trouble beating the Holoholo Bird . I can provide a strategy its good it worked for me and its much easier to do than the one that tells you to put the mother asleep first. so e-mail me at Cubae3@yahoo.com and I can give you more information on it.

lol kay I am checking stuff now ( gots to stop being lazy and whatnot ). Okay so the little birdies suck and what not b-cus they can so knock them out it works very quickly and easily much better than trying to knock out the boss if they you can even use one of the special cards that take a lvl down so you can get both down ( I forget its name ) after that it doesn't do many critical attacks with the baby birds not pecking at you and you can take it down more easily and if the babies do happen to wake up kncok them out before they can heal most likely that will be the first thing they do ( little devils ) kill the boss and you have beaten the fight the babies are not at all hard . ( people have probably thought of this already but oh well worked for me and that stupid boss would not get to sleep!!! and besides it would just lay a egg when it woke up anyway

Yeah thats pretty good. I think that's similar to how I beat it, but I can't quite remember since I did it a long time ago.

All i did was stack up on mountain apples and kicks the crap out of it!

Mountain apples won't heal you because they're Quest Magnus, but they do give all of you characters extra HP as long as you have them with you. So if he had a bunch of mountain apples, his characters' HP would've been insanely high! Good strategy killdozer1!

But make sure you get rid of them quickly because after the fight they rot.

Im sorry but when I first came on here I wanted everyone to think I was a boy...sorry

I had trouble with this battle the first time through; it kicked my ass. I was an idiot and didn't save a back up when I was switching to disc two. If I knew there was a boss right away, I would have headed to Cebalrai first and stocked up on some fresh mountain apples to raise my health. I thought I was screwed but then I noticed I had 6 mattresses. So I put the chicks to sleep (because they're extremely annoying with their pecking attack and even worse, they heal the big bird) and attacked the giant one. Then you only have to deal with the mother bird's attacks and they're not that bad as long as you keep high health. As soon as the chicks would wake up, I'd knock 'em right back out. Just be careful while their sleeping not to use attacks that damage the whole party because it will wake the chicks up. This stratedgy took a while but it definitely worked and I'm glad I didn't have to go back 7 hours to my last save point!

I wouldn't reccommend trying to knock out the mother bird and attacking the chicks; it seems to miss it more often than hit and she just lays eggs right when she wakes up so it's an endless circle and you waste time attacking the chicks that need to be used on the mum.

Anyway, hope this helps someone who is searching for a solution to beat this challenging beast!
