There is a slight romance, but nothing like FFX where there's music and hugging and kissing and getting wet all at the same time. It's shown only through throwing oneself in front of a knife, the recovery of the injured one, and if you get bad ending the lost of the loved one.

there's no romance in this game. not even a slight one.

What about that female guard who protects your tactician? No way is she not hoping for some tactician loving.

Obviously, there is no romance in this game whatsoever ,but love yes, the prince show love to his sister, mother and father and the Queendom of falena and all people of falena(inc..beaver drawf).and also this game(if you get me) teach how to love your beloved country from being control by the iron-fisted ruler...and that's all.

Romance Love and sad in the SUIKODEN series have all if you didn't put yourself in the stories game .even I play suikoden 2 and 5 I really believe that suikoden it's the most wonderful game then all of other game, I think .as you can see Suikoden 2 the hero and his sister and his friend of the hero was like brother and sister .after the hero and his friend get the true rune,both of them was change .hero's sister is very sad for all her life even it's because his brother or his hero's friend .still she want to put her life for all of this .
