i scored a blinding free kick with giggs against man city, from the limit of the direct free kick range, i didnt save it though
never come close to scoring a free kick with anyone since.

its kind of hard to explain , if anything theyre more like the ones in pes now, corners certainly, you get an arrow to aim with, no visual cue as to where it will land. you will have to guess the angle and power correctly to have it land near your strikers.

as for penaltys, i dont think i took any in 2005, so i have no comparison

again theyre like pes, pick your corner and the power, and hope for the best.
the goalie can move left and right along the line, your striker moves his head to look in the direction he will shoot.

so both striker and goalie can make a bluff, to try and put the opposition off.

corners are no longer scripter however, you either pass low or lob them in high, the ball lands wherever it lands, no more does it go to one of three pre ordrained spots in the area, this means you can play it short or pull it out to the edge of the box, for a shot with your foot.

you have more control and now more responsibility, if your corner comes of "you" did it.
if it goes wrong, its your fault. its a big improvement.

its like a golf game in a way, this applies to any shot you take.

there is a white power bar that builds up when you hit fire, near the end is a blue bar, the size of this gets larger for skilled players, making it easier to hit.

you leave the power bar in the blue corner your of to a flying start

placing the shot is difficult, you have no target like in fifa, 2005, its not that hard tho you pretty much know where your aiming.

then what happens next is up to the players skill i guess.
i have scored 2 free kicks out of very many. some came close some not.
giggs goal was incredible, max range and he hit the top corner with ease, my other shot looked to be going wide and somehow went in (someone for villa scored that one)

but i have missed many more, when you concede a free kick now you dont have to worry that you are now a goal down.
the computer players free kicks are also dependent on the player skill, you dont want henry taking one, someone from a lower division team can take them all day, and not worry the defence.

all in all i like them, you can score them and it is rewarding to do so, its not a sure thing like in fifa2005

hmmm if the free kicks are anything like PES4 then im not gonna like it coz u cud put no bend on the ball atall, it was just a straight shot, please confirm that u can still bend the ball form a free kick and even corners

Yes you can put bend or "curl" in the free kicks and you can also hit them straight if you wish.

A look at liverpool fc to see if sissoko and crouch are playing for them. does any 1 no if they are... and does any 1 no if the liverpool euro top is in it
