	Log in to remove this advertisement I think it would be really hard to stay a truly neutral alignment in this game... Aside from just occasionially killing innocent bystanders, to balance out all the bad guys you kill (which of course, change your alignment towards good), I don't see any way of doing it, realistically... And that seems more evil, than neutral... Hero: "Hmmm, I just killed 40 bandits at +2 good points each. that means that at +10 evil points each, I'll have to slaughter 8 innocent traders for no apparent reason, to get my neutral status back... Hmm, oh well, sorry guys, it may seem harsh, but I don't want to be known as a Holy Paladin or have that annoying halo around my head..." Shplork!! Ugh! Aieee!!! Slash!! Arrrrghgh!!!!! etc, etc. I suppose stealing and vandalism would be the lesser of two evils, but you'd have to steal a bunch of chocolates and break an awful lot of windows to keep your alignment neutral... Plus, odds are you'll get caught every once in a while. Then you are given: Choice A- Pay a fine. If you do that repeatedly, you'll soon be in the poorhouse... or Choice B- Ignore the fine. And then you'll have to fight (and kill) the guards until you can make your escape. Which means you'd be a murderer again... Though possibly, if you were morally ambiguous enough, you could justify it as self-defense... But still... The other possibility is to just run away from the guards without fighting. And just because you want to be neutral, doesn't mean you should be a coward, as well. Though... that may be the safest option. Anyway, people, what are some of your thoughts on the matter? How can one stay neutral in this game?

	My advice, in the whole getting-caught thing, is to get your alignment good enough to obtain the "apologize" expression. Once you have that, you can work your way back to neutral. Then each time you're caught for anything except murder, decline paying the fine and apologize to the guard - yes, the one who keeps attacking you - repeatedly until he says, "All right, but don't do it again." Note: this is the way it worked in the original Fable. It MAY NOT work in TLC, since they've taken away other advantages since the first game. 	I discovered what that option did by accident. I pressed it by mistake when the guards were attempting to slay me, and suddenly they stopped! Like Eve said though, it doesn't work if you've killed a whole bunch of people. It also doesn't work if you've managed to make your fine huge in other ways as well.

	That's not the real issue though. It's relatively easy to remain neutral by just wandering about Albion. Wearing dark clothes can negate the good points you get for killing monsters and bandits. However, when playing the main quests, most of the time you have to choose between good and evil. Some of them give you large amounts of points one way or the other. You must either kill Twinblade or let him live, you must either kill Whisper or let her live, you must kill your sister or forsake the sword of Aeons, and of course, the final decision either forsake Jacks mask or claim it as your own. Each of those screws over your neutrality a lot more than good or evil side quests. Heck, even the series of collecting the three souls you need don't add too much light or dark points compared to those situations.

	I've actually found a way to stay kind of neutral, though not exactly. My bar is on the evil side, though less than half-way. I can still get women, and people don't always run around screaming. I have none of the evil physical attributes(red eyes, horns, etc). ------------------- Credit: Ainokami

	Umm, dude, if your bars on the evil side, then you are evil. Slightly evil people in real life still get women (damn their souls!), and don't have horns and red eyes (unless they are albino!). So that's not neutral. ------------------- Awaiting Moderation

	Chaotic Neutral. There's the solution. You just enjoy chaos. Personally, I played through half of Fable doing whatever I felt like at the time, took all my clothes off and had smack bam centre of neutrality. I also had no scars, maxed most skills, married Lady Gray... but that's too far away from the point. Killing bandits then turning around and killing traders IS still neutral... it's just Chaotic Neutral.
