Mainly GR2 and GR2: SS.
Dunno if the 360's GR: Advanced Warfighter has this but>...
THE AI SUCKS BAWLS!!!
That, and crucial animations are too slow, like changing weapons/items, changing stances, reloading. And the lean sucks. Barely leans at all, and you expose your arms before you can get your gun over the edge! (Your arms must be exposed to even get into a lean position, whereas the latest Rainbow Six game lets you make a wide lean, easily letting you dive back behind cover, or popup for a quick volley). Speaking of popups, changing stances to peer over logs and rocks takes too long. You often get shot/at when you do this and it takes too damn long to return to cover. There's also no real stealth system. There are points where you can exploit weaknesses in the AI's programming, but it's not attributed to being quiet, keeping out of the enemies feild of vision, or being in a dark area. It's mainly because an enemy is programmed to move from point A to B and at the moment, the waypoint marker is taking priority, that is until you fire (even into the air), which will set 'em off into alert mode.
Back to the AI: Allies won't wait for long. If you walk away, they follow after about 40 feet. Can't be too covert. They don't all crouch and go prone like they used to in the original GR games, when you would. That used to kick ass. Anyay, the allies have to be told to hold fire all the time if they want to sneak around something. I do like the suppress option, but you have little control over the suppresion area. Can't even make waypoints in the map anymore. Plus they took out the 6 man Ghost team (2 squads of 3) - and there's no customization options for allies weaponry. Can't go in with all silenced weapons, etc. It's Anti-Recon basically. SO you're basically babysitting your allies all the time. And when you stop for a minute to scout around, the allies aren't smart enough to cover all paths (look into all other directions you are not looking at) to provide cover. You get back-attacked easily and often doing this.
Enemies are the worst. They went from being too easy to kill (original GR) to pain in the arse (new GR's). First off, it doesn't matter how well hidden you are; how well your camo uniform helps you blend in, a sucker with an AK and no scope at 150 meter will still snipe your ass, along with his buddies that come running, even through the thickest of brush and tree foliage. Basically, if they ever have a programmed line of sight to you, you're ass is grass. It would have made more sense to give all allies lone wolf weapons, at least the gun cam comes in handy.
The game is still enjoyable, and if you're into Clancy's books, Rainbow Six, and military games in general, you'll probably like it, but rest assured these things will bug the hell out of you. Between this and Rainbow Six: Lockdown, i'd go with Lockdown. They recently moved the series onto a havok supported game engine, and it's pretty cool. Also has very definable flaws, but then again, most of Red Storm/Ubisoft's games do.
Splinter Cell's a shining jewel though, the progression rate is great. No headshots still, but the dynamics of co-op play and new mechanics... MAN. Anyway, that's my little rant.
