I have a 30GB Video iPod that is about 10 months old. Today, I turned it on, to find that none of the buttons or clickwheel work. The main menu came on, but I could not do anything. I tried the "Menu and Select" reset, but no buttons respond. When the ipod goes to sleep, I can swith the Hold switch on and off again to turn it on, but nothing is working.
- The hold switch was/is not on
- I plugged in the ipod and charged it up. no change.
- I restored the ipod. no change. now i just see the select language menu when it comes on
- My computer recognizes my ipod
- I have reinstalled itunes + ipod software with no change.
- I have dropped it a few times. no change.
My warranty is expired, and I'd prefer no to take it into the store. I'd love help with this issue. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
