	Log in to remove this sponsored message i have just got the ipod dock and everything works ok,the only thing is i cant get it to play while its on the dock.i just get ok to disconnect but i dont want to disconnect i want to play the tunes while the ipod is on the dock ? Any body no how to get past the ok to disconnect ?

	If you have the dock plugged into your computer you can only play the songs on the computer. To play the iPod while on the dock, it has to be plugged into the a/c adapter. ------------------- The Ohio State University

	so i have to disconect cable from back of computer,and use a/c adapter,but i am getting power from firewire port is this not the same as the a/c adapter power

	No, its the same power, its just that being connected to your computer overrides the ability to play the ipod while on the dock. To charge and listen to just the ipod at the same time it has to be A/C. ------------------- The Ohio State University
