iPad 3 Announcement Rumor

So there's a rumor going around that Apple will announce the iPad 3 in the first week of March. The iPad 2 was announced on March 2nd and was in stores 9 days later so it would make sense for this to be the case with the iPad 3.

Don't think I'll upgrade to the 3 unless the A6 can really blow me away with its speed. Retina display is nice but I'm perfectly fine with the current screen resolution.

Anyone been waiting to for the 3 before picking up a tablet?

With a laptop and iPhone, I've never found the use of having an extra tablet around. That said, I've never owned a tablet.

Books, mainly.

I would rather rip my eyes out than make a serious attempt to read books on my iPad. It is a first generation one though, so maybe things have improved since then.

can anyone convince me to buy an ipad3 i really wanna buy it but does it have many improvement from the ipad 2.

We've got confirmation that there's going to be an event for the iPad 3 on March 7th at 10AM Pacific. They're holding it at the Yerba Buena Center, one of Apples most favourite venues. I think the Retina Display is going to be a given for this model, there's also rumors of Apple making two processors, the A6 and A5X which may end up in the finished product.

Personally though, I think the main selling point is going to be the inclusion of Siri with the iPad 3 and the Retina Display.

I'm glad I haven't brought an Ipad yet, will probably get one depending on the specs. If it's only a retina display or whatever I might just pick up an Ipad 2
