"You Need to Clean Your Screen!"

I am getting tired of hearing this from my motherrrr. She just has to face it. The iPod and iPad especially are fingerprint magnets, no matter how much you clean them.

So, what do you guys do to clean your screens, and how often do you clean them?

What exactly do you use to clean the screen though? 2 days ago I bought this cleaning foam thing that's...not as great as they made it out to be. I've actually been putting a little bit of contact solution on my iPad 2 screen and that seems to be doing a very good job of removing all the smudges and fingerprints.

It's just a bit annoying because as soon as I start using it again I'll put a whole new host of prints on the screen, which can't be helped because it's a freaking touch screen device.


Also, I'm curious, what kind of laptop do you have?

All about the Windex tbh. I tried to use a tissue once, but we only had the ones that were good for your nose with lotion and crap so it just made everything far worse.

Windex is the go to solution for all surfaces that need to look clean (not necessarily be clean, just look clean).

I got a screen protector on my first 1G iPod Touch, and with my dad's iPhone 4 as well. When I got my touch replaced under warranty, I clued in to not take off the screen protector that Apple shipped their products with and left it on. It's a little beat up from 4 years of use, but at least I don't have to deal with fingerprints!

I don't care about cleaning my screen. In fact, it's a 2 in 100 chance I'm cleaning my iPad screen right now. I just use a dry cloth to wipe the screen. And nobody in my family actually brags about cleaning my screen.
