	Log in to remove this sponsored message I have an unlocked Samsung phone on AT&T network. And my friend just upgraded from his 3GS to a iPhone 4. His 3GS is pretty much just an iPod touch now. If I were to get it from him, could I put my SIM card from my AT&T phone into the iPhone and have it work? Thanks.

	I believe there's no problem since you would be with AT&T, so unlocking it sounds pretty much unnecessary. I'm 99% certain of that. -------------------

	You need to have a data plan on the account thats on your sim card. If you dont have a data plan you will be charged some insane data fees. -------------------

	Yeah I know, I wasn't planning on using data just yet. But thanks, that reminds me of another question: I can turn the 3G off so I'm not charged with those fees and just use service to make calls and text, then use WiFi for internet purposes, right?

	Doesn't matter what you do, they'll know you're using an iPhone and eventually add the data plan to your line. However, since you don't have a data plan, definitely use edge to avoid unnecessary data transfers because they are expensive without a data plan.

	Me and my sister did the same thing with the Simcard, but we were never charged for data. We were on Rogers though.
