	Not necessarily since you can activate it at your own house. If you can see the homescreen on the iPhone and not the "Connect to iTunes" screen, then just pop your SIM in there and it SHOULD activate right off the bat. If not, it'll tell you that there's a different SIM and that you should connect to iTunes. From there you can activate the phone, just put in whatever details it asks for and you should be done. 	Wait, so you don't have your own SIM? Just go to AT&T and ask them to give you a new SIM to put on the phone so you can activate it. That is, if you already have an AT&T Service. 	alright, awesome, thats exactly what i thought about doing. the only thing is, my dumbass forgot to check for a sim the day i got it so i jail broke it n used it and customized it n added all my contacts n stuff already and tried turning it on and it wouldn't turn on, is that supposed to happen?
