I personally would recommend you get the black one instead as any scratches you might get one show up as well.

As far as ATT goes, the 3G speed is fast and great. If your on the Edge network though, it can be slow at times. I'm on a family plan so I'm not sure on the individual rates, but I do know the data plan (separate from talk and text) is $30 a month. I'm not sure if you have to get texting on it, but I think there is a 200 message a month plan for just $10 a month, otherwise they are around 5-10 cents a message. You can go to ATT's website and build a plan with it to get an idea on the costs. If your parents are on ATT you can try and add your phone into their plan which will make it cheaper.

You might want a case too, I know I have a Otter Box for mine.

A case is an absolute necessity, the second the thing's in your hands you're going to wish you had one. I'm on the exact same plan you listed bobbo, except I pay the extra five a month for unlimited texting (which is definitely worth it if you're an avid texter).

Aside from that, you're good to go. I just got mine two months ago, and couldn't *bleep*ing wait either. The enthusiasm of owning one still hasn't worn down.
