do I need screen protection

I got a screen protector when I got my iphone and had it on for a few months until it randomly fell off. The screen protector was actually getting scratched up and made the screen look shitty compared to without it. I've kept it in my pocket for about 2 weeks now and the only thing I've had on it is finger prints which are easily wiped away. For every-day use, its pretty scratch proof. unless you plan on scratching it with some knives I wouldnt be too worried.

What I do with my 1st Gen Touch is really cheap, so cheap in fact, it's free.
Probably not recommended at all though as it might harm your home button if you're not careful.

When you get your iPod, there should be a plastic layer covering the screen, I just take a X-Acto knife to the area around the home button so the button doesn't stick to the screen cover, therefore saving me a screen cover.

But like Blade said, you want to get a case, the back does get scratched up pretty bad.

cant hurt to have one, and it will save you some anguish if you did scratch your new toy. always use protection

You will regret it if you dont get a screen protector i already got a deep scratch on my screen that makes a rainbow effect get one please for the sake of your iPod!
