Portals under this new system will work under a six-stage process through which all portals must go through:
Stage 1: Team Formation
The team must (as before) be formed of Dedicated and Motivated staff members that can equally contribute to the portal. The limit of members for the Portal is solely dependant on the number of profiles that are linked to the particular portal, however just because your not a member of the Portal Staff doesn't mean that you can't contribute. Submitting content to Portals will give you a higher chance of joining the team as a Portal Staff when the need occurs and so should be done frequently.
Stage 2: Content
Due to Portals losing activity fairly quickly after being given a Dummy Portal, ALL NEW portals must now have at least 1 Portal Admin (PA) willing to support and backup the portal for the duration of the venture. The Portal Admins currently consists of Krunal & teodortenchev. The Portal Admin that is currently supporting your idea for the Portal will be the main point of contact between the Portal Staff and the NeoAdmin for any major portal issues. The team can approach a PA for support, or a PA can personally nominate a team and their portal idea.
When creating a thread, the member must include certain information in his post.
Firstly, there should be a full list of working links to all the profiles in Neoseeker's database, if they belong or relate to the series he or she is requesting. This can be obtained by using the neoseeker search engine or the Forum Directory.
Next there should be a list of seven or eight possible pages that could be included on the portal should it be created. Cheats, Tips, Screenshots, User Reviews, Professional Reviews (from other sites), FAQs/Walkthrough are automatically ported over from the neoseeker profile for each game and are therefore not to be included within this list.
Finally, there will be a list of members who have expressed interest in the project and which profiles they have accepted to cover and work on. This list is to be updated constantly to aid other people who may wish to volunteer information and any member of the site administration/forum moderator team who is overseeing the project and may need to contact people individually and raise content issues.
Failure to include any of the above items will result in your request being deleted. A repeated failure to follow a moderators instructions will result in a suspension from requesting any portals. It requires long term effort to create, maintain and grow a portal and the site administration does not wish to waste its time supporting hopeless endeavours.
Once the team feel that they have enough content to warrant a dummy portal (Content submitted must cover the majority of the topics listed in the table of contents) then a list of contents, staff members and a substantial portion of preliminary content which must be originally written by the portal team should be submitted to the both the Portal Admin backing the Portal, and tiffany1 for review.
Stage 3: Skeleton (Private)
Once the content has been reviewed by both the Portal Admin and tiffany1, a Skeleton/Dummy and Admin Panel access will be provided to the Portal Staff to aid in development.
Stage 4: Skeleton (Public)
After around 2 months where the Portal is only open to the original staff members, the Portal will then be made available to the Public so anyone can submit content (and in the future, edit content).
Stage 5: Portal Skin Design
Once the Portal has enough substantial content, and an ongoing submission of news/updates from a dedicated member(s) of portal staff, the staff can send a request to the Portal Admin (overseeing the Portal) and tiffany1 for the creation of the Portal Skin design. The suggested time for this is 12 months from entering Stage 3, however with more dedicated portals, they will be ready for a Skin far sooner.
Stage 6: Official Launch
The New Portal with its customised skin will receive a Neoseeker-wide launch to the public!
