legancy of kain soul reaver can be played on windows xp?

Well...you can play Soul Reaver in Windows XP...sorta. On my machine, if I use "Windows 2000 compatability mode" with the version 1.2 patch the game will run.

However, the sound catches and the different zones load into memory slowly so occasionally you have to pause and wait for them to load (you'll see a black screen in the path before you when this happens). If you don't pause and run into the blackness, the game crashes. Speaking of crashes, try fighing Dumah while trying to wait for zones to load into memory. *sigh* Crash, crash, crash. Personally, I wouldn't bother trying Soul Reaver in XP due to instabilities in the code. Soul Reaver loves to get you into a boss fight and crash.

If anyone knows of a way to minimize crashing, please let me know.

yup thats it. read the readme and it tells you exactly how to do it.

I used all the things tat where written there and MY soul Reaver v stops, I see the error Message. I go to the crash err txt and I see:

What is it?

I get the same error message. Is it due to the latest Nvidia video drivers?
