dealing with a few pests in the game:

alma V2 isn't that hard on master ninja especially. i beat her with my first try on that level like this:

dodge all her attacks. she will eventually land on the ground. run quickly to her and using the TDS do XYY. the whole combo won't always hit but she will nearly always fly back up. there you go! free damage. now back to dodging her attacks again! yay!

ghost fish. we all hate em, want em for dinner. but their dead! how to kill them without getting bitten? easy! using either the wooden sword (NOT LEVEL 7!!!!!), PSMKII, TDS or kitetsu jump forwards and press X, doing air destruction slash. for some strange reason they won't bite you when you land. just repeat this and when you jump, you get the essence. very easy. also helps when you open the damned fishy boxes. only things you can do immediately are jump and cast ninpo. jump in any direction and press X. job done!

ghuls or zombies. stupid, but annoying. kill em easy! or maybe just put em back to sleep as they already were dead!
two methods: one, do XY then ->Y with the dragon sword. you should launch them and then do blade of nirrti. finish with fiend sealer and one dead. easy
or just charge vigoorian flail's gathering clouds and watch, free money! 700 essence per kill. and the last hit with an upgraded vigoorian flail will kill a ghul in one shot even on master ninja!

oh yeah and also against smaugan the dragon on chp 12 you can go to the top and go to the far right platform and go to the far left bit. you can't be bitten over there. just jump off a wall if he uses the fire wall and roll if he does that wing flap. you can hit him with windmill shuriken and just kill him so easily you will laugh. the only pain with the boss will be the minions the ghul archers. i suppose you have to either kill them or else just dodge their attacks. be patient and he will go down.
also remember the damned helicopter on chp 8 3where you have to block all that helicopter fire? here's the shortcut: at the start, aim your bow at it and shoot two or three times. it will fly away immediately. that was easy!
