Brothers In Arms Music

I just wanted to hear your opinion on BIA's music and its impact on the game. I personally think that it brings the comradeship closer together. The Brother's March, especially, did so, and I hope to get a copy of both game's soundtracks.

BiA has some of the best scores ever written in video game, the scores just weren't used as often as they should have been. In fact, only 4 of the songs in RtH30 [of the 12 that were written] made it into the game.

Yeah, I realized that as soon as I went to the "Extras" screen. The "orchestra parts" lists, like you said, about 12 pieces, though I only heard about 4 in the entire game. Those that are heard, though, sure made an impact for me.

Excellent. I completely agree with you. In fact, it seems that only combat games have truly good music, which I suppose makes sense. Medal of Honor: Frontline still is still my favorite for best music scores.

My my, we do share some thoughts, don't we. I absolutely agree. Michael Giacchino is, in my opinion, the best 20-century (continuing on into the 21-century) in the world. He is my top favorite. In fact, all I want for Christmas is a copy of the MoH: Frontline soundtrack.

That's obvious enough. By the way, what music does he do, exactly?

And you, war dog, I'm so glad to see another on Neo that actually likes orchestra! So happy, happy happy happy...

re: Brothers In Arms Music

We have a music forum to discuss Bob's greatness. Try to keep the thread on the topic of BiA's music.

re: Brothers In Arms Music

For me, sometimes the music just distracts me from the game. I couldn't tell you which games, but some games of mine I do turn off the music option because it bugs me so much.

re: Brothers In Arms Music

Oh. Hmm, I'm the opposite. A great score always raises the quality of a game. Often times I will tweak the settings so that I hear only the music while I'm playing.
