I played the first MGA a fair while ago, and finished MGA2 just today. I wasn't going to post this until I finished it to be sure, but.. what the hell happened to MGA's original storyline? The last thing I remember was Minette revealing herself as the real neoteny, and an abrupt ending with a conversation which included the Prime Minister and the President.

According to MGA2, the real Snake died on Lobito Island, and the protagonist of MGA2 was just a clone of his corpse, but he most certainly did not die on Lobito in MGA, and I doubt he went back there any time soon inbetween games.

All I can say is; what the hell? The neoteny wasn't even mentioned in MGA2.. I've gotta say, I'm disappointed. MGA didn't even offer much of a conclusion, so I sort expected one from the sequel.. If I've missed something huge here, please tell me.
