I am restarting to play the game. I am in the Vim Factor just after defeating the hammer brothers with the Shroob antennas. The HBs are walking me through the hammer usage for the baby bros. I get to the end where the purple floor becomes stairs. I cannot continue because the hammer thing will not switch. It will switch at other points, but then the icon at the top right is stuck and it will not let me change from hammer. Baby M+L will not jump with the hammer selected. I use the L button to switch, but the icon remains unresponsive. My R button does not work because that part of my DS cracked after so much use and I have it rebuilt with super glue. The L button will make it switch briefly, but I'm stuck as to what to to switch it. Any suggestions are welcome.

I don't really know what to do, because I think you screwed your L and R buttons with that Super Glue. Maybe you should get another DS..... ?
