PES 2008 Demo is up

I played through the Timeshift demo and wasn't all that impressed. The graphics are bland, the powers aren't that cool, and it uses an uninteresting blend of colors. I'm skipping this one.

Clive Barkers Jericho demo is now out on the marketplace

Just finished playing through the Jerico demo about 4 times now. It's absolutely brilliantly frightening. The kinda cheesy ways that it is presented in the menus (especially in the intro video) is terrible, but the underlying theme, story and sound especially is all top notch. I actually found myself going into a rage on one of the enemies because the enviroments were so intense. One of the creatures attacked me, I killed it by meleeing it to death, then continued pummeling its body until it disappeared. I didn't even realize I was doing it or how futile it was because I was so scared and pissed off at it.

Absolutely brilliant work in almost every aspect, though the controls are a little sloppy (considering this is a Codemasters game I was prepared for that).

Thrillville off the rails is up. It seems pretty fun. I wouldn't mind picking it up as long as it's around $20. I like that you can talk to people and get their complaints, and in the process *bleep* with them by telling them you've known them for years.

Bee Movie Game

are all up. I'm liking blade storm. And Bee movie actually seems like it isn't a half-assed kids game. Loony toons is pure un-filtered ass though.

PGR4 and Bladestorm officially hit my list thanks to the demo that each had.

Never was interested in PGR until now. I love the bikes.

Conan: More addictive than it should be. I love the slow-motion super-absurd ultra-violent counter-attack things. When you parry and press a button. I just like the physics and slow-motion ultra-violence.

Bladestorm: Much, much better than I was expecting. It was just a lot of fun. Now, this may be because I was imagining myself as Bronn from the Song of Ice and Fire series the entire time, but I loved it. Honestly, I liked all the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors games, but this is even a step up. I like me some medieval European combat, and this was better and slightly more realistic than the absurd one-man-against-an-army "Warriors" hack 'n' slash games.
Totally gonna buy this one.

PGR4: I'm not a racing game fan, and to be honest, I haven't actually had an interest or downloaded the demo. But I wanted to ask a question to those that have. See, I only like racing games for the crashes, really. Burnout is an obvious favorite. But how's the damage in PGR? And can the folks on bikes go flyin' off all hilariously?

Jericho: Wow... Jericho was pretty damned awesome. I was surprised at how much I found myself enjoying the tunnel sequence where you have to press buttons as they pop up. Usually, I just get bored with those, like in God of War (am I the only person that thought that game was entirely mediocre?) but that one had me genuinely panicked. I *bleep*ed up a little and had to fight the thing off of me on the ground and it was that much more intense... Ah, good times.
It was really just a solidly creepy game. Good atmosphere, that's it.

Also, anybody else see the hilariously over-the-top gore video for the new SoF (which I must warn those who were excited, is being developed by entirely different folks)?
