next xbox Do we have an idea when the new Xbox will be announced?

well, what do we have coming up? both PAX's are done for this year, so i think the only other big venue would be the Spike VGA awards. that isnt usually where new things get announced, except for maybe a few games, but not really a system. so that pretty much leaves next year. CES is in January and thats a likely event to do it at.

announce in January for a holiday 2013 release? possible i guess. although these rumors could very well be fabricated to make Sony think twice about the PS4 unveiling, and possibly hold their cards.

except E3 has become far less popular than when the 360 came out, and companies are starting to announce things at CES or PAX a lot more than E3. one big reason is E3 is more a industry insider kind of thing with the press and such, not as much consumers there. PAX is all about the everyday folks, so companies like to announce things there in front of a packed, cheering crowd to make their product seem like a huge deal (even if it isnt). its all about the flair.

well if they wait that long, it wont come out next year for sure. half a year isnt enough time to jazz everyone up enough, MS will want to plug it for the better part of a year at least, thats why i was thinking CES.
