hardware problems Xbox 360 Slim Disc Drive Problem

Hi all, so I'm attempting to fix an Xbox 360 slim for somebody else and the problem they are having is that the disc drive will not open and will make a grinding noise when the 360 tries to open it. I've tried using the manual eject button at the side of the console with no luck so I've decided to take it apart and have a look inside. I've messed with it for a good while but can't seem to find a way to remove the disc tray and have a look at the individual components. Here are some pictures of what I am talking about:







If anybody can see something out of the ordinary or has an idea how to remove the disc tray (without using brute force) then that would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I've sorted it now, I had to resort to brute force but it came out without anything getting damaged and I just gave it all a quick clean and reassembled it. It seems to be working now but it's still not 100% as sometimes it won't open all the way and will need a light tug at it but it's better than not opening at all.

So mods you can close this thread now if you wish.
