The Handling of Rare

Haven't they delegated them to only making Kinect games in the past few years? If so, then I completely blame Microsoft. However, that didn't stop Rare from putting out that shit Banjo game a few years back. You can argue it wasn't that bad, and as a stand alone product, it wasn't. However, it HAS to be compared to the previous Kazooie and Tooie games, and when it is, most people, especially fans of the originals, will agree it's shit. Viva Pinata was cute and original, but boring as hell. Kameo was alright but way too easy and that was way too long ago. Same with Perfect Dark but it wasn't as creative as Kameo. In order for Rare to save face for their fans they need to make a real Banjo game, and/or a real Conker game. Those were three of the greatest platformers in their time (the three greatest imo, along with the not as good, but still great Donkey Kong 64), and three of the funniest games ever. That's what Rare did best, cute, vibrant, funny platformers, and that's what Microsoft needs to make them do. And it's smart business sense, too. They're idiots for not making them revive the Banjo series. What other franchise do they have that can compete with Mario? If they made Rare actually do something with Banjo and maybe make a series out of Kameo, those are two series that at least make people think twice when choosing either Xbox or Nintendo in terms of family friendly (and good) games.


If Microsoft made Rare do the things they've been doing, then it's their fault. If Rare chose to do this shit, it's their fault. Don't know either way, and don't really care. I only want my classic Rare games.

Killer instinct is welcome for sure, but I'd love to see Goldeneye re released. No remakes, no sequels. just the original game.

Pretty much what above poster said. I don't understand why Micro$oft purchased Rare only to never use them and now have them make kinect sports (which any developer can do).

Just *bleep*ing put Conkers Live and Reloaded on the marketplace already Microsoft!
