MS Points May Be Out the Door (Thank God)

Really hope this is true.

As long as you can still buy prepaid cards from stores, I don't really care. But if not, *bleep* that. I don't want my credit card info on my console.

Plus, I don't really see why people are so fussed about the system as it is. 80 points = $1. You think content will become cheaper by removing the point system or less confusing?

The only problem with them originally was that the price of content would be in increments of 400 while you would have to buy points in increments of 500, so you always ended up with more than you needed. They fixed that, so there's not really a problem with them anymore.

Unless they allow you to buy straight from your debit card balance, then that would make things easier IMO. Otherwise all that changes is that you would now be buying "money" that uses a $ symbol instead of the MSP symbol, but either way it's still just a virtual balance.

I'd be pretty indifferent to this tbh. I have my debit card details on my account so I just buy points on the box anyway. I'll just be removing a tiny step from that chain so who really cares in my case? :L

For everyone else though, I suppose this is pretty good news.

yeah at the very least, if they decide to keep the points, they really should let you customize how many point you wanna buy, in increments of 40 or 80 points rather than making you buy increments of 400.

It should be the same as how it is when you buy something online, you just pay for what you want.

You mean about how many MS points you have to buy? I had to boy MS points the other day and just had them choices.
