No no and no.
I personally never EVER buy second hand games, yeah they come with a warranty as standard but I just do not like buying second hand games

usually theres nothing really bad about buying used games. though i would say if you do you should try to go to a game store like Gamestop, that way you can ask to look at the disc before purchase to make sure they arent selling you a scratched up mess. although most game stores wont even buy a super scratched up game in the first place anyway.
im not familiar with Amazon's pre owned purchase stuff, but for eBay, if the product you receive is in worse condition than the listing says, you can get a refund. either by the seller being cooperative or by eBay forcing them to do so. eBay almost always sides with the buyer.

I've never had a problem with amazon's used game sales. If it says like new, or whatever it usually is. Still I'd go new if you can. But there are out of print games and stuff, if you can stick to amazon certified ones, if nothing else for the free shipping.

as emphatic as you're trying to be you gave absolutely zero reasons why he should not purchase used games from a reputable vendor. i've purchased second-hand games from amazon a couple of times and every time i have received games in fine working condition for a bargain.

Personally, I buy used games, but I'm done with Amazon. Pretty much EVERYTHING I've bought "new" was not new at all. This includes the entire second season of Medabots in 6 volumes, in which all the DVD cases were replaced to LOOK new, the Gurren Lagann series, which was trashed when it got here and despite finally working, didn't for a while, Terminator 3 and Salvation for blu-ray, with T3's box being destroyed, and Salvation skipping scenes (I haven't tried T3 yet, even), Assassin's Creed 2, Red Dead Redemption, and Batman Arkham Asylum as part of their buy 2 get 1 free deal, where they all had punctures in their spines, and lastly, as far as I can remember, my mom get me Goldeneye Reloaded and Deus Ex Human Revolution for Christmas "new", and they were nicely shrink wrapped brand new looking games with replaced game boxes, and Deus Ex's bottom part of the box literally crushed and broken. I mean, I may as well tear it off it's so bad.
So *bleep* Amazon, I don't know why it's praised so much, I don't know how others get "great packages" and I get shit, but they can go to hell for all I care. never again. Pretty much every *bleep*ing item I got ripped on, and ebay provides much better prices and service IMO anyway.

on Amazon you have to pay attention to who youre buying from, because not everything comes directly from Amazon. you might get an item from some small company with crappy quality control. everything ive purchased DIRECT from Amazon has showed up in new condition. it will say if the seller is Amazon, or itll name another company.

From my experience amazon has been an amazing place to get new or used games for sale. I got a used Monster Hunter for Wii for ~15$, one day shipping included. It came hastily and with quality. Smarti3, you can always check out Neo's new trading forum and ask about the game.

I have had absolutely no problem with buying used games off of Amazon (UK). I usually buy all my games on Amazon; used as well as new and, to repeat myself, I've never had a problem whatsoever.

I have bought loads of used games from Amazon, and I've never been disappointed. If it says it's in very good condition, it is in very good condition. And you can always return it if you aren't completely satisfied.

Then pay attention who you're buying from, almost none of the sales are Amazon, it's just collected there. If there are ones that say fulfilled by Amazon, they're almost always perfect, otherwise there are pages and pages of reviews for every company that are featured on amazon.

Same here, Beta. I've used amazon for used games and cds over the past several years and I've never had a problem. Just make sure the seller is reliable by checking out there seller rating. But yeah, I love buying used games from amazon. It's the cheapest place I've found to date, other than ebay occasionally.

I've bought many of my games 2nd hand online... never had any problems with the actual games... just watch out for online play passes and DLC sometimes they'll claim they are still valid, but may not be...
