	Log in to remove this sponsored message Ive never owned an xbox before, but am definetly considering getting one. Pretty simple really, Just wandering is it worth buying one now? Is there any new microsoft consoles coming out soon? Also Ive noticed the price has dropped, about $200 au for an arcade, but is it a worth while spend? I owned a wii for about 2 years, for about 22 months of owning it, it sat around doing nothing. I felt i was done with video games as im growing up, Would this be the same for the xbox 360? Will i be bored of it asoon as i get it? I know the xbox is a completely different genre console form wii, so it may be alot more enjoyable in this case. Im sure many people will disregard this question as an 'idiots question' as im in an xbox forum but i just want to know what ive asked. Any helps appreciate. Ta ------------------- FALCON PUNCH!

	I personally think it is worth every penny. I have played Wii many times and I myself get rather bored with it on the occasions that I do get to play. Im sure you will not get bored with the Xbox 360, if you do get one make sure you pick one up with a HardDrive for all your save files, DLC and Arcade Games. If you get bored with a game you can use netflix, last FM, facebook ect ect, But those all require you to have a Gold Subscription which is about 50 bucks a year. I enjoy games now as an adult more that I ever enjoyed them as a child and the Xbox has more games suited towards adults than the wii does or ever will. 	Deffo worth every penny!! I've had my xbox since the first 2 days it was officialy out in England, I also have a Wii that I didn't get the Christmas just gone but the one before and i agree that they are soo fun at first but start to get a bit boring, it is just say at my Nan's house... But on the topic off the 360, i wouldn't get one PreOwned from eBay or somewhere like that, get a new one else they are likely to have the 'RROD' = Red Rings Of Death. allready :/ I also think there is some good packages you can get such as the ones where you can choose 2 games out of like 6 and get 2 free controllers So, hope you get one ;] and if you do, I hope you get many hours... years ...of fun out of it !! -------------------

	Yeah, I own a Wii as well and I pretty much stopped playing on it about a month after I got it. And during that time, I was mostly playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Virtual Console. Out of the 3 consoles, the 360 definitely has the best game selection in my opinion. The PS3 has pretty much caught up, but I still prefer the 360's selection. Also, I know that $200 price tag on the Arcade is tempting, but I really suggest going for the Elite. If you plan on going online with it, you'll need the hard drive to do pretty much anything. You could buy an Arcade, then purchase a hard drive separately, but you won't be able to get nearly as much memory for the same price of the Elite. Plus, the Elites are usually bundled with games, depending where you buy yours from. -------------------

	^^^ exactly, I just bought my new Elite a few days ago to replace my broken pro console and I got Lego Batman and Pure with it all for $299.. Best deal out there, because you would buy the arcade for $199 then need the HDD for another $99 and I think you only get 60gigs when you purchase the HDD in the store. My only complaint is that my Elite only came with Standard AV cables.?.?.? WTF? ------------------- Xbox Live Gamer Tag- green1eech add me if you want, but send message saying from neoseeker.. They only accessories you get extra now are the ethernet cord and the headset, which I think they used to pack with everything? -------------------

	Ok dude If you do get one i advise not to buy preowned like i said, my m8 traded his in last week as a pure console and got 90 quid for it and added some of his money to get a preowned elite for 135 quid and it didn't come with a mic or a storage device and they didn't tell him in store so he returned it all for his old console The crap allways happens to him -FaCePaLm- he got CoD6 week of release n when he opened it there was no disk -------------------

	If you're worried about longetivity and life cycle, with regards to getting value for your money, then I suggest that you buy a PS3 instead. I think that the PS3 will remain supported by Sony for longer than the 360 by Microsoft (especially given thatthe 360 came out almost 2 years earlier). I own both and think they're brilliant, but even if life-cycle and value for money weren't the criteria I'd still recommend the PS3 over the 360, personally.

	Or perhaps a double agent with a dose of reverse psychology... Point still stands though. I feel the PS3 has more life in it and also now has better exclusives. For me it's not an issue as I'm lucky enough to afford both. But going on life span and value for money, I think the PS3 comes out on top. I just don't believe the 360 has many years left in it.

I know that if I worked at a Gamestore/Retail I would have a hard time believing something like that, I would assume they are just scamming me for another copy of the game.
