Ah okay. The process really isn't too bad. Might look like it at first just because I didn't want to be too vague in the guide. Just read the part about how to find your router's gateway, then type that into an internet browser. Then skip to the Port Triggering section, and apply those ports I listed above.

hi, I was trying to setup Port Triggering (we have 2 X-Boxes running on the same connection).

But when I tried to set the trigger port to 80 this is the message I get.

Another way to make your NAT type open is to set your xbox network setting to factory settings/defaults. It doesnt work for everybody, but it did for me.

If you have one device that is a router/modem hybrid, then just follow the guide like normal.

If you have the router and modem separated into two devices, then still follow the guide like normal. If you've opened ports for the router and you feel the modem is still causing problems for you, then follow the guide like normal, but then also do the following:

Open up the Start menu, then go to Run (or just press Window Key + R). In Run type in cmd. Now in the Command Prompt window, type in tracert google.com. Now you should see a string of IP addresses. The first one, the one in brackets, is Google's. Next is your router's gateway IP, then the third one (the one following "2") will be your modem's gateway IP.

Take that IP, type it into any web browser, and then follow the guide like normal. Except this time you'll be doing it for your modem. And again, this is only if you have both a modem and a router as two separate devices, and following the guide for your router did not work.
