so i want to put a bigger hard drive in my box... but with all the banning of modded boxes, i'm worried. anyone know if you can get banned for putting in a non microsoft HDD?

That's not a bannable offense, but Microsoft is releasing a patch soon (or they already have, I'm not sure) that will not allow third-party hard drives or other memory storage devices to be recognized and used by your 360.

well that's annoying... i don't get why they would that... why don't they just make non-microsoft controllers not work anymore too and everything else that isn't microsoft while they're at it T_T

im sure they will before long. you know how they want you to buy only their accessories.

Im pretty sure Microsoft gets a CUT of the profits from the 3rd party developers and manufacturers just for allowing them the rights to make accessories for their product. But the Hard Drive thing is a joke, we SHOULD be allowed to purchase a USB Harddrive and use it as we please. Since we already purchase the 60 dollar games, 50 dollar controls, Pay an Xbox Live Yearly Premium and download their arcade games and video files. I know they dont force us to do the last on the list, but thats not the point
