so my modded console has been banned and i cant believe the hypocrisy of that company that has has more lawsuits against it than any company in history.let me just say the xbox is a fantastic console. but honestly i would be embarrassed to do what they have just done.this is a company that screwed its customers by releasing a console with the highest failure rate EVER and then to add insult to injury blamed its OWN customers and said the failure rate was 10%,when the REAL figure is closer to 90%!!.this created animosity amongst its consumer base with its screw you attitude.if they wanted to take the moral high ground why not release a proper working console like sony?which cant be pirated?i personally have gone thru 4 xbox 360s all in and mostly everyone i know is the same.nice profit for failure eh?also the online experience on live is a shambles.i had to stop playing pro evo soccer 2010 on it due to volume of cheats/laggers.never been sorted never will probably.microsoft created these problems for themselves.i thought sony were bad but theses guys are something else.last week sky player was to launch in uk it was taken down due to unexpected demand lol!!on the sameday!we got a notice that it would be back later that day.then it was tommorow.finally it was coming soon.with absolutely no info as to the exact release we were reduced to checking everyday if it was there or not.it arrived over aweek later.the thing that really bugs me is that there are people out there applauding a company that has repeatedly screwed them over.we gave back what we were getting.i love the xbox 360 but sadly my advice to ANYONE now is stick with sony a brand you can trust and who are professional and steer well clear of this particular company.if you are buying a console for xmas dont touch xbox with a barge pole.

The console isn't pirated. Don't confuse your terms. A modded console in and of itself isn't illegal. It is the assumption that people are going to use the modded console to pirate games that they are using as an excuse to ban the consoles.

Still if you're paying attention to what's going on you should be aware. Thus going online with a modded console is just plain stupid.

i hate to say it jamesi, but theyre right. its your fault for modding your console and going online with it. it says you cant do that in the Terms of Service. its not your fault that 360's are prone to RROD (hardware failure), but you are covered from that for 3 years from original purchase. obey the rules, and you will be fine.

First off I don't see anyone here saying sure we will bend over and take it. I have only owned one 360 and I hardly even play the thing because I spend most of my gaming time playing the PS3. I have no particular love for Microsoft.

But if you're going to be ignorant and play a modded console online you have no room to complain about getting banned. You were fairly warned if you bothered to read the TOS.
