The Market place was always annoying, now it is even more so.

I like the market more now. Before I'd kinda take a bit to get to the list of games with stuff to download and it'd take even longer to cyle through it. Now I just go to Game Marketplace from the main menu, choose a letter, bingo bango bongo. Course, probably as it's the first day, the list isn't even loading when I choose a letter, so whatever. I expect it to be kinda slow at first. I'm not going to get pissy or anything.

Otherwise, I kinda like it. Not sure why the blade system is so hated and all. I really liked it. Essentially the same thing here, just as easy for me to use. The avatars are ok. I'll miss my Bad Company smiley face grenade pin. I still think it was kinda pointless to implement them, seeing as how I don't think the Xbox Live community is built for it at all. But whatever. He looks like me so I don't care.

I'm really liking the new dashboard. The avatars aren't as bad as I first thought and I'm glad you can still use your old gamerpics. The only annoying thing I've noticed is that when you're looking through your friends list it sometimes freezes for quite a while which I can see becoming very irritating. Installing your games onto your HDD is great, it runs so much quieter and I'm just glad I've got an Elite with about 90GB of space left.

I don't know much about this, but out of curiousity... If you download games onto your hard-drive, and have later versions of the game, can you use the previous content of that game on the new game and game engine?
Prime example- RB transfered over to RB2 for a fee. (I believe) :3

Would say that's my only complaint, especially since you can't change the default pic like you could simply by going to a different blade. Now the only way to see the other 3 themes in the set would be if you browse "game library, video-music-picture library, and of course system settings". I know you had to do that for the blades too, but unlike NXE, I could choose to start my xbox up on any one of these blades and always see that theme pic instead of the main one. Now I'm stuck with it, which sucks because I'm still on the TDK theme and I can only see half of the batpod. I always loaded my xbox up to see the Joker image instead and now I can't. When I go to "game library" the Joker image is all but obstructed so it's not even worth viewing. Wish you could change the opacity and dim the boxes. As for the main theme pic, wouldn't be so bad if you could remove that bottom gray border trim that takes up half the screen for no reason at all.

With that minor complaint aside, I still prefer the new design for the "My Xbox" though, especially when you look at your games and achievements. Before I'd always have to wait for the achievements to load up, now they pretty much automatically appear on each sliding box.

This is really cool! I've got no complaints. The whole system works great and the whole design was very well thought out. I was skeptic of it at first but I LOVE it compared to the blade system.

GOD DAMN THIS IS COOL.
