Sadly, not in-game. I wish you could too. But if you're desperate, just set your system clock forward as many hours as you need to, and the game will act like that time has actually passed. But be warned: doing this may mess up any other game you have that follows the system clock, like Nintendogs, Nintendogs + Cats, or Animal Crossing. It may cause problems.

Just set the clock in your DS forward. But be careful. Messing with it too much or setting it backwards can cause the game to get all weird on you. You'll only be able to walk slowly, there'll be aliens EVERYWHERE, and it'll be raining outside. Trust me, it sucks. Just accept the fact that you can't speed up time.
