Post here to talk about any aspect of the crappy Football Manager team that is Bolton Wanderers!
Here is my own expierence: Despite having six first choice defenders out injured and hardly any talented midfielders, I have just completed what I believe to be the greatest accomplishment I have ever achieved on Football Manager. Yes people, I have managed the near impossible and won the UEFA cup with Bolton in my very first season! With many of my top performers not available for selection or totally unfit, I was forced to rely solely on my tactical brain to guarantee myself victory. We sat back in ultra defensive mode for the entire game, breaking only to score our two lucky goals. My aim was to play for penalties. I had no players with a penalty taking rating of above 15 so things were not looking good even at the onset of the shootout. I could not bear to watch. However, to my amazement, we managed to record a win! ...I was *bleep*ing over the moon! http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/8868/bolvic2uo8.jpg http://img91.imageshack.us/my.php?image=erovic1bx3.jpg Once I have finished celebrating, my next game will be the final of the FA cup against Manchester United. I want to win once again so that I can recieve my second trophy of the season. The double is coming to the Reebok Stadium! I also managed to finish a firm third in the league which means that I will be playing Champions League football next season! I can't wait for all the money that I will be due as it will allow me to strengthen my squad. This message was edited by Dave Breezey on Jul 16 2006. great stuff there mate.
how do you play in windowed mode, and all the things, like the manager screen are normal size because when i put ''=windowed'' or whatever it is in the box, they are bigger and it wont let me see my top scorer, assists etc. thanks in advance...

quoteAh, ummmmm, I'm no expert on the technical stuff, Matt.... All the information will still be there, you will just have to scroll down to see it all due to the reduced screen size. The only reason that all of the options are viewable on the screenshot is that it is taken after the match rather than before I have clicked 'contine', if you know what I mean... I suppose the actual width and length of your PC monitor also effect the way that it is projected. ------------------- ![]()

I managed to thrash out an unconvincing 2-1 victory in the FA Cup.
Now, as I had expected, Chelsea have placed bids for Nolan and Johnson. I managed to negotiate the Nolan bid to £26 million. His stats and performances improved so much throughout the season and he will deffinately be a loss, but I couldn't reject so much money. Johnson will be leaving for a mere £15 million because it matched his minimum fee release clause. I'm not at all worried though, because I have just had offers excepted for Mirko Vucinic and Leo Messi, both of whom look to be on their way! ------------------- ![]()

No way does he need a new keeper, Craig Gordon is one of the besd bt on the game and Cudicini is good back up.
