Corrupt or Bad Flash

Went to update my bios to the most current rev 1011. Successful according to Aflash utility, but of course was not. PC is dead. No response other than lights. I was ready to purchase another motherboard, memory, and processor until I read a thread about obtaining a flashed bios chip at www.badflash.com. I ordered the bios chip with my request of version from badflash.com as my last resort before purchasing all that. I received the bios flash in 2 days and now am up and running again. If you have a corrupt bios update, don't mess around and go to badflashes website. Support from ASUS for this board sucks.

re: Corrupt or Bad Flash

I too had a "successful" reprogramming from 1004 to 1011. Cleared the CMOS and then fired back up to a black screen. Worked with a similar outfit to get a new chip programmed to 1011 - inserted the chip and still nothing. All I get is a 2 second delay, a one second beep and then the PC automatically shuts itself off.

I have since cleared the CMOS many times, removed all cards and drives from equation, tried jumper and jumper free modes... I am running out of things to try - any suggestions would be appreciated!
